Here's a puzzle we've had stowed away for quite a while, so we thought it was time to make it. A triptych of Renoir paintings of dancers, the male dancers' clothing proved to be the trickiest areas to make. Thinnish pieces but nevertheless a good fit.

TED: "This pussle's a triptick - that means 3 pikchurs in one - so it's wot I calls a 'threefer'. Mum sez the peeces wuz a bit thin an' she's rite, they wuz fiddly fer me paws to pick up but I mannedged all rite. The ladys dresses wussn't too bad to do but the men wuz 'orrible - all them dark peeces! Took me a cupple of days but I got there in the end."

aThe series is called and celebrates Mother Earth. They are as always, handcut collages and feature women from old German FKK (naturism) magazines combined with images from vintage books about marine invertebrates. The first animals in the world lived in the sea and some of these still do. It's where we all come from.

• inspirations: almost all my collages series are inspired by women and nature, in different combinations. for instance in the series FLORIALIA I combined and intertwined girls from old erotic magazines with images from a book about how to take care of house plants. for this series: see above.
Begonnen in 2019 als een experiment met knipsels uit oude FKK bladen en uit boeken over weekdieren e.d. In dat jaar combineerde en scande ik de knipsels van alle kanten en maakte daar prints van. De serie heette 'Lebensfreude'.
Nu, in november 2023, ben ik de afbeeldingen definitief gaan vastplakken. sommige combinaties zijn hetzelfde gebleven, maar er ontstaan ook nieuwe beelden.
