Years have passed, tears were shed
For a ruthless long war
Covered the sky blood red.
Fierce Leo, now man, were to honor his bloodline.
He became a lord, led armies with his sword.
All those fiery battles and his greed for conquest,
Had left the nation miserable, never at rest
Modest Mia, a woman so kind and tempered
Felt abandonned by his friend, for she lived on the curb.
Outraged, maddened, a cold blizzard covered the land
Mia was out for vengeance, came for the king's head.
Even in their youth, fire and ice clashed for games,
Many years after, those forces clash once again.
Of all those memories, and this once happy place
There shall only remain ashes, and tragic fates.

I don't have the time and energy for a proper Vic Viper map like in the old days, but wanted to do something with all the Vic Vipers that have been posted last month.
If my count is correct, this is 67 Vic Vipers by 41 builders.

Photo taken by Johannes Schimpfhauser. I provided the processing. His stream can be found here! www.flickr.com/photos/schimpfephoto/
So, I've been seeing some collaborations on Flickr lately and thought it would be nice to approach another photographer. The idea was to swap photos and let the other do the processing. I often wonder what others would do differently with my own photos, and I can say that it's been a great learning experience. Check out what Johannes did with one of my photos here: www.flickr.com/photos/schimpfephoto/5890768581/in/photost...
Fortunately, Johannes is an incredible photographer and he provided me a beautiful image to start with.
I'm not sure many people care to see what I do to typically process a shot, but for the one or two that are curious then here's what I did:
New Layer: Contrast Adjustment +20
New Layer: Curves - Adjusted red, green, yellow curves. (Overall layer opacity 85%)
New Layer: Overall curves adjustment - to give more contrast
New Layer: Levels adjustment - Brought down shadows, brought up highlights
New Layer: Photo Filter - Warming Filter 77%
New Layer: Color Balance: Pulled in blue, magenta into the shadows. More red for the midtones
New Layer: Hue Saturation - Sepia Toning (Overall layer 13%)
I also added a bit of blur at the foreground to give it some depth
Lastly, I cropped the photo a bit closer. Total processing time was around 10 minutes.
I'm still learning about Photoshop everyday. Half the time I have no idea what I'm doing. My processing will probably change over time, but at this point in the game this is what I do. This was actually a lot of fun to do, and thanks Johannes for playing along.
Also, I passed 30,000 stream views yesterday :D
