According to Silky Smoove, this is the second largest clock in the world. I went to Wikipedia to verify, and the article said, "In the late 1960s, SILKY SMOOVE ROCKS!!"

An East Broad Top mixed train, hauls a string of empty coal hoppers back from the yards at Mt. Union, PA, destined for Rockhill Furnace and eventually, mine country. The train is pictured passing the north leg of the wye at Colgate Grove. This is a feature of the railroad that didn't actually exist when EBT was a common carrier. It was added in the early 1960s when the 4 mile stretch north of Rockhill Furnace began to be used as the railroad's tourist ride. In the common carrier days, there would have been no reason to turn trains here, but in the tourist era, it provided an alternative to backing the passenger trains all the way back to the depot at Rockhill Furnace, which is what was typically done during the first year of tourist operations.

This image was captured during an April, 2023 photo shoot on the East Broad Top Railroad, which featured the newly-restored Baldwin Locomotive #16, seen in this photo.

Built in 1924, the iconic Colgate Clock in Jersey City, NJ, is now maintained by Goldman Sachs.

with a 40ft diameter, it's one of the largest clocks in the world. sadly, it appears it's future is uncertain as a result of colgate closing it's plant in 2008.

I beleive that this movement was for much needed product to be delivered to the Colgate-Palmolive Plant in Jersey City N.J. This plant was Colgate's most important manufacturing opeartion from 1847 until the company's merger with Palmolive in 1928.By 1870 Colgate&Company was one of Jersey City's largest employers. When operations ceased in 1986-1988 the plant was significant in being the longest soap making facilty in the U.S. Howard Kent Jr. photo.
