Looks like Santa puked all over this yard. Apparently Wal-Mart shares rose 4%, when the cashier rang this order through :)
A different angle from a favourite spot. Shot on Whitefish River First Nation.
Swift Current, Ontario.
will take you to your destination. Shot along a back road near Restoule, Ontario. I waited 25 minutes for the plow and sandtruck to pass to make the hills manageable. You do not want to be going into the ditch in this area. The next person to stumble upon you may be a berry picker in the summer.
Foreigner - Cold as Ice
You're as cold as ice
You're willing to sacrifice our love
You never take advice
Someday you'll pay the price, I know
I've seen it before
It happens all the time
Closing the door
You leave the world behind
You're digging for gold
Yet throwing away
A fortune in feelings
But someday you'll pay
You're as cold as ice
You're willing to sacrifice our love
You want paradise
But someday you'll pay the price, I know
I've seen it before
It happens all the time
Closing the door
You leave the world behind
You're digging for gold
Yet throwing away
A fortune in feelings
But someday you'll pay
(Cold, as, ice)
You know that you are
(Cold, cold) (as, as) (ice)
As cold as ice to me
(Cold, cold, cold) (as, as, as) (ice)
(Ooh, ooh, ooh, you're as cold as ice)
(You're as cold as icccce)
You're as cold as ice
(Cold as icccce)
Cold as ice I know
(You're as cold as icccce)
You're as cold as ice
(Cold as icccce)
Cold as ice I know
(You're as cold as icccce)
Oh, yes I know
(Cold as icccce)
(You're as cold as icccce)
You're as cold as ice
(Cold as icccce)
Cold as ice I know
(You're as cold as icccce)
Oh, yes I know

HMM!
Wouldn't it be sweet to have a waterfall in the backyard...... I believe it was -33 degrees Celicius that morning.....definately a "point and scoot" shot.
An early-morning walk is a blessing for the whole day...
Good morning ...wish you all a beautiful day:)
what you will get this time of year. Rain, sleet, snow, or in this case icicles. Might want to call the kids in!!
.... a shot from in behind Bridal Veil Falls in Kagawong, on beautiful Manitoulin Island. The lighting was difficult to say the least, and I can't ( and dont ) photoshop, so this is it.
I shot this photo by walking in behind a waterfall that has been frozen over for about four months now. It was pretty treacherous, and the underflow behind the falls made walking on the ice a bit precarious, when I heard it cracking under my feet, i assumed that I had ventured far enough.
I drove by this abandoned house near Port Loring Friday, and thought the contrast between the freshly fallen snow, and the decrepid crumbling house was somewhat unique.
A somewhat rare occurrence on the Northwestern shore of Michigan's lower peninsula. The sun actually came out!
Ice crystals filled the morning air due to the extreme cold temperatures, but they did make for some interesting light casts
Winter has finally made an appearance here in northwest Illinois, with some snow and wind chills not getting above zero today. But don't get too used to it-temps at 40 degrees and rain by Friday!

Nieuwe muts gekocht.
It's not the sharpest that it could be, it was cold today and the 150-500 on the 1DS Mark III makes it a tad heavy to hold onto.
Still, it shows that the fast moving water is still starting to freeze in spots on the creek where the rocks and vegetation seem to be..
I may not always have time to thank you all for your visits and comments but rest assured, that I do read them and am very appreciative that you took the time to pop by and see what I see here "North of 7" in Rural Eastern Ontario (North Frontenac Township) or, where ever else I might be with my camera now that I am retired and loving it.

If the snow was not knee deep and full of water from two days of rain, I would have waded out there, and given this guy a hug....he looks like he needs one.
Taken at Bellevue Park, in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.
As I look at these images, and try to put words together to help describe to you this scene, I feel so blessed to have been able to experience an evening here, for only a few short hours, and the emotion it still brings is incredible. Now folks, we all know Mother Nature is powerful and She certainly can be fierce, but she sure knows how to lay it on Her canvas.
