Todays challenge for the daily shoot was, TGIF! To celebrate the end of the week, make an artistic shot of your favorite beverage or libation today.

Well if anyone knows me they know that it had to be a shot of coca cola today and thought it was a good chance to post a shot of Bahbahrah and introoduce a new friend she found in NZ, the shop said it was a sheep but it looked liked a poodle to us so we call her Shoodle

Of course we all know to much Coca cola isnt a good thing so check the first comment where Bahbahrah recomends somethin else instead

TGIF, have a good weekend

Todays challenge on www.photochallenge.org/ was "Straw"

Decided to go with this theme to using a straw to continue with Bahbahras adventures.

so heres the story to go with this shot

We have been a bit worried as recent as it seemed Bahbahra was putting on a bit of weight and we couldnt work out why as there was nothing fattening in her diet, but when I went for my lunchtime walk in the park today and sat my Coca Cola can down on a bench to take a few shots and turned around and found Bahbahra must have climbed up the can then the straw and was busy trying to slurp the coca cola through the straw.

after all we all know Coca Cola can be fattening, just look at me LOL

From "Drink Coca-Cola" 10 slogans later we reach "Open Happiness" , the last being of course: "Live on The Coke side of Life".

Enjoy

Todays challenge on dailyshoot.com was "Make a photograph that plays two complementary colors off of each other today."

I almost skipped todays as after my visit to the dentist, the one tooth that was niggling occassionally has got worse and is varying from a dull pain most of the time to a real pain at others, but decided to grab a can of coke and head out to the backyard and see what I got and I think this isnt to bad

Roll on Monday week when I have the dentist appointment

Hope everyones weekend is going well

Merry Christmas from my family to yours!

Finding these Coke bottles with all of our names was 2/3 easy and 1/3 nearly impossible.

I couldn't find a "Hope" anywhere for a very long time until a trip to Mystic, CT helped me end my quest. I had the idea to make a Christmas card using all of our names on the Coke bottles and thought I'd have to type the word "Love" on the card but I was lucky enough to find "Love" at a store as part of a 6-pack.

Mission accomplished!

You can't beat the feeling.

Inside Trowbridge's everything was chrome and vinyl in mint and silver. Other than the iphone on the counter, you could be back in time.

This is a newer Coke mural than I usually see for the faded Coke ads, with the 80's slogan "Coke is it!"

Okay...this is an experiment. I just dropped this photo into 31 of my groups. What does that say about the photo, or about me for that matter?

One thing is certain: it will never end up in Explore. Ironically, from what I gather, placing a photo into too many groups for exposure works to its disadvantage. Not that I care.

This is one of my favorite murals - it's my second visit, and I was glad to see it's still there. It's on the old Tri-City Furniture building in Thomaston, GA right on GA 36.

For FGR: Coca-Cola

My pick... I'm not as fanatical about coke as I used to be... still buy the odd bit to add to my collection and when I come across a new/different can that gets added too... after being consumed of course.

Coke on the corner of Wallis Texas.

it was 90 degrees and I'd been in airports all day where a drink cost $1.75 minimum (except at the water fountain, but it's hard to lean over with a heavy backpack). I was walking along the waterfront just hoping there was someplace I could get something cold to drink. This machine materialized out of nowhere. I put in a dollar, and got a soda and a quarter back.

The Wachovski brothers were on to something, at least in the original Matrix film, when the character of Agent Smith, interrogating the captured leader of the free humans, Morpheus, declares "You humans are like a virus, you use the resources until they're exhausted and then you move on..." A novel perspective to look at ourselves as a viral infection upon the earth. On this day, Earth Day, public art installations such as these Trash People - on exhibit now in the courtyard of the National Geographic Society - by German artist HA Schult, remind us of our impact on the rock that gives us life...

So I ended up buying this bottle today for the Photochallenge.org, the word for the week was icon and I could not find any buddhas but then I remembered the movie The God's must be crazy, and thought YES COKE IS IT!
