The second model in the line of Japanese storefront sets I developed for CaDA Bricks.
For this design we decided on a single storey building, which had the benefit of allowing greater density of detail and a wider base to work on with the allocated piece count.
This was a fun and interesting set to develop with it's many moving parts and low-key color scheme. I was able to add MANY windows and a fair amount of greenery which I'm very happy with!

Time flies with coffee and good friends.
But, there were empty chairs around that table.
We missed some. Wished they were filled too.

This beautiful mug was hand made by a New York based artist Stepanka. I own two of her pieces of art and am longing for more! It is so beautiful, very light and you can see light through the intricate pattern on the bottom (after you finish your coffee ;-))

If you've been following me in Flickr long, you know I have a thing for Middle East, especially for what they call "Balad el Sham" (the countries of sun - Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine). I love how it feels home, despite the differences. I like how people are full of smiles, and always ready to help.
Just as we were out of Aljoun citadel, I saw this man selling tea and coffee, and when I asked if I can take a photo of him he said, "Of course!", and smiled a very charming smile.
Thanks for your visit and have a great day!
This little fella found us in a coffe shop in Hanoi and immediately joined our table! We were delighted about his attention but after a few minutes of cuddles and snuggles, he left us after spotting a man with a meatball sandwich. And in a few seconds he was already having part of it!! Let's say that we felt a little betrayed but very happy for him!
A late afternoon espresso at Mercantile in Houston's Rice Village. I loved the way the shadows hit the wood counter.
