On October 21, we are participated in The 7th Annual Coffeeneurs Challenge at Lydia's Magic Garden (El Gardin Magico de Lydia).
We are treated the outdoor event as a Zero Waste Bicycle Event, where asked riders to use reusable bottle, cups or mugs, wooden or metal utensils and cloth napkins.
Recipe for a #ZeroWaste Event
1. Carry supplies via bicycle
2. Portable Folding Aluminum Table Lightweight Outdoor Garden Camping Picnic Desk With Bag
3. Kettle, backpacking stove and fuel canister
4. Table setup with delicious Dominican pasteles en hojas and pastelitos from Bitter Orange Cafe.
5. Making coffee using French press coffee and vietnamese coffee press
6. Manual coffee grinder
7. Wonderful friends who arrived to the garden by bicycle!
After having a relaxing morning, we rode to Long Island City, New York to attend the Second Annual Harvest Festival.

Uptown riders are biking to Brooklyn to show love and support to Red Lantern Bicycles, who are closing their doors on Nov 30th.
Red Lantern Bicycles, believe that bicycles are one of human kinds’ greatest inventions and have served the Fort Greene, Brooklyn area for over 7 years.
Come out and enjoy a cup of organic coffee (French press, espresso, our killer cold brew), hot and iced teas, juices, beer and wine. Also, enjoy the panini press sandwiches, small salads and vegan empanadas from Monk's Meats.
Brooklyn riders can meet us at Manhattan Bridge (Jay Street) at 4PM.

We are particapating in The 7th Annual Coffeeneurs Challenge by asking riders to use camping gear to prepare and share hot chocolate, tea, apple cider or coffeeneuring-ish type drinks and pastries before the ride at Lydia's Magic Garden (El Gardin Magico de Lydia).
After, join us for the El Barrio Bikes monthly ride to the TransAlt UMAC Social Ride to Harvest Fest! The 9 mile ride will start at 125th and St. Nicholas and head east to LIC, Queens via Wards Island and RFK Bridge.
We ask all riders requesting a Citibike to arrive at 8:30am or using a personal bicycle to meet at the Citi Bike Station on E 116 St & 2 Ave. The Citibikes are limited to 15 riders on a first come first serve basis.
