Welcome to September days! Autumn is just around the corner! 6am and I am greeted with brisk air outside and a cup of hot coffee. I can always tell when autumn is here because the nights start to drop below 60 degrees. I have noticed the days getting shorter as well. Before we all know it, we'll be snuggling by the fire on a snowy winter evening!
Well, fall is winding down here, cold weather and rain to come. All the leaves have gone, dried up and turned brown. It will be back in the house for me for shots most likely until spring. This is the season where I have to force myself to be more creative, find things indoors that inspire me. I can't say I am looking forward to it. Hopefully I can keep the creative juices flowing. I need to be on my "A" game for my 25 days of Christmas 2020! Wish me luck!
Had great fun taking this picture, all you need is milk, sugar and lots of patience especially when cleaning afterwards :)

I was heartbroken when one of my favorite mugs fell to the countertop from a cabinet shelf. I cannot bear to throw it away..
The mug's diameter and its height are both 3.5 inches. I have cropped the image to fit within Macro Mondays' limits..
Working on Christmas decorations, I painted the pine cones white and I painted some shells silver, with nail polish, they look nice.
Some coffee is really needed !

I bought a mug duo. One said naughty and the other nice. I bought them with the assumption that I would have the nice cup. My husband had other ideas. Apparently he thinks I am the one to get coal for Christmas this year. HAHA

The 5/21 theme for #MacroMondays is #ReadyForTheDay, and I can't think of anything else that gets me more ready for the day than a cuppa coffee.
My new favourite mug. Birch trees are my second favourite tree next to the weeping willow. I can't imagine how much time has bee put into making this mug.
Buy one, get one free. These books were a real bargain. The Right Stuff, my all time favorite movie... It's about time I read the book. Also, On Gold Mountain, which I've read before but an amazing story and well worth a second time around...and a signed copy at that.

For this week’s Macro Mondays ‘Glaze’ theme, I have chosen to photograph the red / white glaze from a mug . I have tried to emphasize the glaze of the mug by using a vertical highlighting the edge, whilst maintaining the point of focus on the boundary between the red and white on the rim.
Another simple lighting scenario again for this one: natural light and with the camera hand-held. Post process in Lightroom CC and Photoshop CC.
I try to have chocolate in some form (usually a piece of a chocolate candy bar) every day and especially with my morning coffee.

I'm a collector of coffee mugs. During my traveling days I liked to bring home a handmade mug from each place I visited. This one is from Ljubliana, Slovenia, and it is one of my favorites. It is a favorite of guests in my home also; it always seems to be the first one chosen at coffee time.
Is getting a lot of use with coffee and hot chocolate with all the snow we have and more on the way....

George, Sadie and I took another walk along the residential street of Titusville and I saw so many wonderful little white picket fences with flowers blooming all around them but for some reason, this old leaning fence with an empty coffee mug caught my eye. I'll post some of the other photos later.
