...with coffee and cake at an outdoor cafe where we often sit on warm summer days. Today it was only 5C.

15/52: The weekly/monthly challenge - Breakfast of champions...who doesn't like cake for breakfast. Thanks to Monique for the confirmation :)
My daughter-in-law asked me to make a school dinner cake after she'd seen one online. I waited until my son needed to collect some other things from us. We'd managed to get a shopping delivery so had added some bits for them too...anything to prevent going out!
Stay safe and well folks.
Plonked myself down and had coffee and lemon drizzle cake whilst Ade had a wander up Holme Fell to fly the drone.
I must say it was a fine lemon drizzle and a lovely spot to just sit and take in the beauty of the surroundings.
Drink: Coffee
Food: Portions of slices from a school bake sale (lemon, caramel and carrot)
Book: The Murderer is a Fox by Ellery Queen (1945; my copy is the 1972 Penguin paperback with Peter Fluck cover design)
I golfed this morning and it was lovely and I planned to go out for a good walk this afternoon. I took a shirt walk along the beach and it was oh so cold so I decided to turn back home and have a warm coffee .... and a mini battenburg, Mr. Kipling's cake!!

This photograph is full of Viennese references. Firstly, the menus are on sticks, which hang on a stand; the cappuccino is made with cream, not milk, and is served with a glass of water (to clean the palate). Lastly, the cake is the famous Sacher Torte.
It was all rather delicious!

What better way to brighten up a cold and gloomy winter's day than some delicious chocolate fudge cake and freshly brewed coffee?
Dropped into Manhattans bike shop this afternoon. Today is the Royal Enfield's new Bullet 350 launch nationwide.
They had cake and coffee too!!
Nice little bike, one of a number of new models coming out..
I'm sticking with Himmy though!!
During our weekend away my wife and I drove into the small but lovely village of Crail and fund this wonderful small coffee shop and I was so pleased we did as my slice of chocolate cake and coffee were both wonderful!!

» Fuji X10: Amsterdam street
Really caught my eye this one. The only window in that street which was condensed. A cheap single glass window, rain outside and something 'cooking' on the inside? Must be love ;)
I waited here a minute or two... steady, focused and ready for the moment to come, I had it all in my mind, but that guy never wiped the window to see what I was doing. She was much more interesting I guess ;)
Next time, cus that will be a perfect shot!! [added to my list]
...added an analog effect.

Many thanks dear friends for your lovely Anniversary wishes yesterday you are sweeties x.
Mr T and I had a lovely day out to the South coast. Our first stop was Hilliers Gardens in Romsey. We started off with a delish coffee and cake, then had a long leisurely stroll through the beautiful gardens taking in the sculptures along the way. www3.hants.gov.uk/hilliergardens/hillier-gardens.htm
We then drove off in search of a fish & chip supper - Southampton was our choice - however we couldn't find somewhere to stop ... (the traffic system was confusing - we saw ships in the distance that would have been nice to watch if we could have found how to get near enough). Onwards - waving hi to Portsmouth and Chichester as we made our way to Bognor (not somewhere we had planned LOL). After a stroll along the beach we found our pitstop for a tasty plate of fish & chips. www.sussexbythesea.com/bognor-regis
Another stroll along the beach before the long drive back to Oxfordshire! It was a super day and one to remember. Thanks again all - will catch up asap xxx
When Storm Bert is outside and storming away a warm coffee and a lovely soft piece (maybe, two soft pieces) of chocolate Swiss Roll is what is needed to help keep me nice and warm!!
