This is for Ilse's coffee challenge - ashamed to say there were no beans in the house and we pulled out our coffee trees some years ago, so here is some instant coffee on a blue plate with a magic flying saucers, er I mean cup. Planet coffee for those of you who have never been there, it is very high. Look at Ilse's post and the other links. Want to join? Fabulous

For those of you who want to know how to do this, really simple. First I got the jar of instant coffee, then the blue enamel plate, then made a funnel out of baking paper and dropped the coffee onto the plate. Put my macro on and shot away. Of the 20 shots decided which one I liked best. Found another picture with a cup on it. Layered it onto the coffee granule shot and positioned it to suit me. Then took the erasor and worked on the difference between the two layers (where there is a line between the layers) - soft-edged brush with a diameter of around 200 px, opacity at 100%. Works a treat. Then adjust the contrast of the image now. FLatten image. Et voila coffee spaceship in the blue sky with flying coffee grounds

oh the witch’s brew, what secrets will you share?

I took this at a meeting with my phone one day. Everyone just looks sooooooooooooo happy to be at our weekly meeting. I didn't have my good camera but I decided to submit this for the Twitter Tuesday #Coffee challenge. I knew there would be a billion artistic coffee shots submitted. I decided to go with a feeling rather than something beautiful. It made it! My bored coworkers are forever shared at their photogenic best.

My first shot to "The Coffee Challenger" see in Ilse photostream.

Cabot Circus, Bristol - 24th April 2010 14:52

Looking down on "the Circus" of the large Cabot Circus shopping centre in Bristol from the third level balcony, outside House of Fraser. Taken mid-afternoon on a warm spring Saturday.

This is a panorama built up from ten exposures of five portrait images (ie. two exposures of each image) and merged in Adobe Photoshop CS4 which copes remarkably well - I had to make two adjustments: 1) to add back in a severed head(!!); and 2) to tweak the perspective in the bottom left and right corners to ensure the guy in the centre on the level below didn't have his feet chopped off when I cropped. You'll also note that the railing on the next level down is actually straight but the extreme wide angle of view makes it look curved.

Viewer Challenge:

As with my last panorama of this location with my old camera, you can play "Where's Wally" - there are two couples and three individuals that appear twice; and one group of three that appears three times(!!) in the image. I have left these in to keep you all entertained :) Plus there may be more so keep your eyes peeled.

9.30 AM coffee

Your coffee is served on the terrace this morning. The flagstones are still chilly under your feet. But then you see a dark-blue cup and saucer, resting in a spot of golden sunshine. You settle in to drink it. The cup is small. To enjoy it will just take long enough to soak up the first sunshine in days, and not long enough for you to catch a chill. The aroma of the coffee is distinctly South American, but with a little twist. It smells and first tastes of floral notes, maybe even a hint of lemon. The finish surprises you with trembling notes of dark cocoa.

(This was the first in the coffee-challenge for Fargo. Thank you for the advice on tweaking the photo :-) - I did it a little different to keep the shadow of the beans.)

But when I was going through my stamp supplies to find a set to use, I ended up also doing the Lawnscaping's "Getting Texty" Challenge.

I drew pencil lines to make sure my phrases were straight and didn't remember to erase them till after the whole card was put together, but it seems to add to the card and fill in the blank areas.

Morning Coffee Challenge: vaneeesa.com/2010/09/02/morning-coffee-challenge/ This is my morning tea. Every morning i drink at least one cup of Melissa Tea (also known as the herbal "Lemon Balm") There is anecdotal evidence that such a regimen can lead to long life. Paracelsus claimed Melissa to be the primary ingredient in The Elixir of Life.

I try to make at least one Christmas card each month, but this month almost got away from me. Good thing I was reminded by Scrappy Mo's Rudolph Days challenge, and had a chance to make this. I used papers from a very old DCWV stack, and a mug die by Paper Smooches. The scalloped die is by Sizzix, and heart is also by Paper Smooches.

Entered in these challenges:

Pixie's Crafty Playground Snippets challenge 406. I used lots of snippets here, including the same scrap paper for the circle and the stamped sentiment: pixiescraftyworkshop.blogspot.com/2021/06/pixies-snippets...

Scrappy Mo's June Rudolph Challenge. Seems funny to make a Christmas card when it's nearly 100 degrees outside but thank goodness for a/c: scrapsoflifebyscrappymo.blogspot.com/2021/06/june-rudolph...

June Caffeine Fueled Coffee challenge. I used products by Paper Smooches, one of the older coffee hop sponsors: coffeelovingcardmakers.com/2021/06/caffeine-fueled-paper-...
