The key subject in this view is Mynydd Drws-y-Coed. The photo was taken this last summer and shows much of our high level route that day.

Another lay-by shot. This location has always caught my eye when driving past, but I've never been able to capture it very well.
Acros film sim with red "filter". I really liked the textures in the trees and the clouds, the house (Llys Y Coed) in the foreground was nicely, almost dramatically, picked out by the sun.

Slight detour on the way back to the car which meant we had to walk through the woods for a bit longer. Love the twisted trees, covered in moss around here!
Betws-y-Coed is a village and community in the Conwy valley in Conwy County Borough, Wales, located in the historic county of Caernarfonshire, right on the boundary with Denbighshire, in the Gwydir Forest. It is now a very popular visitor destination in the Snowdonia National Park.
The Pont y Pair Bridge became an important bridge, as people were diverted to cross the river Conwy here. The bridge is still a main crossing point for traffic.
