CityCampHNL Hackathon was held on Jan 20, 21, 2012 at the McCoy Pavilion at Ala Moana Beach Park. Six teams did a great job developing apps based on City data.
Yay! I'm super happy to have gotten my Google summer of Codeing book. Now to just find the time to read it inbetween all of my codeing :)
A new living concept in the kitchen, expressed with an unrestricted combination of simple geometric shapes that provide different functions: storage or decorative spaces in which colour and materials become a true design concept.
To make the bokode targets I printed them on paper, then took a photo of them onto 35 mm slide film. This example is self-referential: the target is on film shown on the left. The right image shows the "bokeh" image, taken with the film placed in the "bokeh projector" and the camera a meter away but focused at infinity. (The text is the MIT's SIGGRAPH abstract).
The body of text here is about 3.5 mm high. A letter 'e' is about 85 microns high.
Combining two themes because I missed one. The words are a direct copy, single word at a time, translation of "We are here" from English into Navajo. I have no clue what actual grammar should do to the phrase, if anything. Anyhow, with the D-Day anniversary having just passed, this is my little nod to the Code Talkers of that time who helped to protect Allied secrets.

Today is the first Code Red "Catastrophic" fire warning for the season. 40 plus (degrees C) temps across the state. No wind to speak of here so that's a blessing of sorts - though a breeze would be nice! Nothing to worry about (yet) but the warnings have gone out nonetheless. Authorities are desperate to avoid the disasters of last February.
WA and SA are already burning - not good in those states at all.
