I always think of that line from Mary Poppins whenever faced with an open-mouthed advertisement. P.S. These crazy gold-edged shades are by D&G, in keeping with their current "Italian widow" runway schtick. I didn't buy them, even though they are kind of mad fly. (I hereby request some kind of bonus for successfully using the phrase "mad fly" in 2013.)

My neighbor brought me some of her amazing codfish fritter batter...

So I used it to make a pretty tasty lunch. :o)

I just fried them up and placed them on a bed of watercress. I like the way Thai sweet chili sauce tastes with codfish cakes, so I always have it with them now, lol.

I also boiled some green bananas (topped with salt & pepper, and EVOO) to round out the meal.
