On July 4th 2010, Cheryl and Nancy were walking Bertie and Codex. As they passed 416 North Magnolia, the occupant's very large and aggressive dog ran into the street and attacked Codex, biting down on her neck. What you see here is the tidied up version of her wounds after $600 in surgery performed at Verona. Cheryl and Nancy were both injured during the attack but not directly by the attacking dog. Cheryl cut her hand on the leash after Bertie went frantic trying to escape. Nancy suffered cuts and abrasions after being knocked to the ground while trying to defend Codex who had assumed a submissive posture.
