We are thrilled to announce that Dress Code, a new furniture collection from Italy, will be making its U.S. debut at Cantoni this September.
Robi Malerba and his family have worked with Cantoni founder (and Chief Energizing Officer) Michael Wilkov for years. They have conceived and crafted this new luxury line to add to the others they produce at their Italian factory, including Solitaire, One & Only, 5th Ave., and more. Not only is the Malerba family a top vendor for us, but they create furnishings for the likes of Harrod’s as well as a host of other internationally-renowned luxury retailers.
Inlaid horn, coplanar doors, mirrored glass, lacquer and chrome accents, and oversized seating are just a few of the distinguishing marks of this elegant and refined furniture collection.
Our showrooms have undergone major renovations to make way for this exciting new collection. Visit Cantoni today and see for yourself why Great Design is a Way of Life. More info 877.881.9191.

Code was a little jeux d'esprit I concocted in 2001--a magazine consisting of a single 11 x 17-inch sheet printed on both sides and folded down to 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 inches. To read it, you had to unfold it completely. I printed up perhaps twenty copies of the first two issues. I got as far as writing and designing the third issue, but never published it.

The UK Highway Code is brimming with common sense. So much so that even someone who isn't familiar with every rule knows roughly how to behave.
Rule 240 says "You MUST NOT stop or park on a pedestrian crossing, including the area marked by the zig-zag lines (see Rule 191)..."
In case you're wondering, Rule 191 is very similar. It says: "You MUST NOT park on a crossing or in the area covered by the zig-zag lines."
This is, to date, the earliest written set of laws ever found. It dates back to Ancient Sumer. Sumer is the earliest civilisation ever found. It's commonly known as Mesopotamia and was based along the Tigris and Euphrates rivers - known to us all now as Iraq.
