Time to put pen to paper for Murray submissions!
It’s hard to believe but the 20 week consultation period on the draft Murray-Darling Basin Plan is coming to a close – submissions are due on Monday, 16 April. So for all of us who’ve been procrastinating this is the time to sit down, pick up the pen (or the keyboard) and get those ideas for a healthy Murray in to the MDBA – NOW!

This is grim.
It is a cod who has got himself stuck through the bottom bars of a lobster pot that was lying on its side. A seal has come along and bitten the cod in half. The cod was still alive despite being only half there.

A quiet early morning last passage thru the Cape Cod Canal into Cape Cod Bay on our route back home for the season.

If there was ever a case of a burger drowning to its death - this was it! My burger arrived looking like it had perished not by grilling but rather by drowning as the burger was totally drenched in the dill tartar sauce! I hardly could see it!
Generous chunky cubes of tender-grilled cod (rather than a patty or a batter-fried piece) were sandwiched between the pillowy buns with pieces of olives for surprising pleasant bursts of salinity. I am a person who enjoys dill but I have to say I found navigating my flotilla of a burger past the ocean of sauce plenty daunting as the dill was overwhelming. It seized every mouthfuls which I felt was a tad of a shame for the dish.
