Sorry. 1st few times posting in flickr. So didnt take notice of exif data.
Anyway, i placed a Vivitar 285hv at the back for background light. Another 580ex right below the glass. Dropped an ice cube inside and fired on cam.
Vivitar was set at 1/8 power while 580ex was set at 1/16.

The classic steakhouse appetizer. At Backwoods Inn, we serve a delicious shrimp cocktail with jumbo shrimp and our own homemade tangy cocktail sauce. A perfect starter. Oh so good.
1 part Campari
¾ part Cointreau
¼ part maple syrup
¼ part Bols Grenadine
1 part freshly squeezed lime juice
1 ½ part Schweppes soda
3 dashes Peychaud's Bitters

Esta es la fotografía numero 8 de 10 de la serie de San Valentín que hemos creado para esta festividad. En este cocktail combinamos los amargos del Campari o los Peychaud's Bitters con el dulce del Cointreau y el sirope de arce.
This is the photograph number 8 of 10 Valentine series we created for this celebration. In this cocktail we combine the bitters of Campari and the Peychaud's Bitters with the sweets of the Cointreau and the mapple's syrup.

Composition of the cocktail : rhum, orange juice, abricot juice and lemon.
Set : black velvet background, cocktail is on a mirror. Horizont line was photoshopped.
Light : One continuous Hedler C12 (1000 W) with white umbrella. At 2 o'oclock (camera is on 6:00)
Fill in light : 2 white styro foam in a triangle, with camera at the end of the triangle. (see comment for lighting diagramm)
This was just some test shot. I think the light is too bright but I really wanted something not too flat. Still improving my "one light source" set... Advices are welcome.

Strobist:One Vivitar 285HV gelled green and pointed at the background. One Nikon SB-25 through white umbrella camera right. Black reflectors on each side and black wooden table.
recipe:
-Green Kiss-
1 oz Crème de menthe
2 oz Irish whiskey
1 oz dry vermouth
Shake with ice and pour into a martini glass. Garnish with a slice of lime or cherry. Optional: rim the glass in sugar for a sweet surprise in every sip.
