This a Trustees of Reservation property in Western Massachusetts near the Connecticut border. It's really very unique because of the twin rocky knolls. Cobble probably comes from the German word "kobel" meaning rocks.
There aren't many of these old cobbled yards left, this one is off Stoney Street in Nottingham.

It was a fine day last weekend to walk around in the cobble. Such an unusual reservation with the looming rock walls on the side of the trail. If it wasn't located way out in Western Massachusetts, I'd probably come here every day!
Happy Friday all!
This is typical of the streets in Skiathos Town. A steep, stepped cobbled street with the beautiful white sugar cube buildings on all sides.
Harbour cottages and the Market House Museum share a claustrophobic cobblestone alley.

Morning light down in among these large slippery rocks of Acadia, Maine ... but well worth the effort!
Another shot taken in Derby town center.
There are still some roads that haven't been covered in Macadam, but they are hard to find. This is a back alley that is little used these days, and still retains plenty of character thanks to the 100+ year old cobblestones.
Nice warm sunlight bathes the rocks looking down upon Cobble Beach. Of course I had to find the way down there and scramble upon them under this pretty lighting. Those shots are show below in the comments.

Charles Bridge in darkness before the sun rose. The lamps reflecting their light onto the cobbles. The distant buildings silhouetted against the dark sky.
Don't be fooled by the lack of people. Had I turned the camera in the opposite direction, there were an awful lot of togs.
Charles Bridge is one of a number of bridges in Prague, which spans the river Vitara.
Some beautiful sculptures adorn the sides of the bridge.
