Gathering light on the veranda this afternoon.

When I was taking photos around town, a local asked me if that's what I was doing and starting telling me about some of the buildings there. Cobalt Cycles used to be a bar, and the Mexican restaurant next door used to have a dance hall behind it, which has since been demolished.

Cobalt. What are you doing?

I have one of these server appliances but have never used it. Got it via Sun’s acquisition of Cobalt in 2000.

I was never as impressed and many others but I guess it did the job.

 

Encased and plunged Floral

Each earring consists of two rare cobalt blue pieces of authentic sea glass. Each mini-stack hangs approx 5/8 in length from silver palted earwires.

These doors were designed to protect volatile substances, and can be found in The Old Pathology Building, as it is known in the National Register of Historic Places. This building now houses the Indiana Medical History Museum. This facility was built in 1895, inaugurated in 1896, and was still used for teaching medical students until 1956.

Cobalt met Dexter at the Sherwood Park off-leash. The two of them had a great time, though they were very hard to photograph -- they moved too fast!

Rubber Duckie, You're the One!

I found this miniature cobalt blue bottle in my great-grandmothers yard about 25 years ago and I've never known what it was for.

I took a picture of it alongside a US quarter to show size. It measures 2" tall. There is no lid. There are two 'bumps' on the front (or back) of the bottle. The insignia on the bottom of the bottle has the letter "P" inside a pointed flag.

Anyone have any ideas?

At Disneyland we visited the "Innovations" pavilion for a while. Inside was a giant illuminated Periodic Table. It dawned on me that we could transform Colin's name into chemical symbols.
