In my personal opinion, Cobalt Coast in West Bay is our premier dive resort with the best shore diving and diving services on the island provided by Dive Tech. A big factor in my assessment is due to the fact that the shallow water sessile organisms (sponges and sea fans) went unmolested by the huge storm seas that affected so much of the rest of the island during Hurricane Ivan in 2004. This was the down wind most point on the island during Ivan. Also, of course, Dive Tech offers the greatest range of diving instruction on the island. You can learn every level of free-diving skills as well as every level of open and closed circuit scuba diving all the way through mixed gas deep diving.
