"Toa of Light. Now so bold. But at heart you are still just Takua. You failed to save your friend. You didn't even warn him. Perhaps, for your next great failure, a simple game of kohlii? Win and you may try to open the gate. When you lose,
l'll have that mask." — Teridax, Mask of Light.
This is an occasional MOC made for BBC Contest №75. Once my mate kinda dropped out, I decided to make something for Patricks Biggs Takanuva (his mate kinda dropped out too, so DViddy suggested anyone to join him, in case they want).
This MOC was specially made in Pats fancy coat style to fit his Takanuva. It was a pretty fun reverse engineering experience. I paid as much attention to details as I could, though not everything I wanted was released...
The key chain is supposed to be a reference to Hau-gate from Mask of Light movie.

Happy Birthday Pat!
A quick tribute based on an old moc by Patrick Biggs to celebrate his birthday.
Admiral Jaldamir
"A noble and valiant commander whose sole purpose is to bring to justice anyone who dares to stand against the crown. Has a long-standing enmity towards criminals who fare the seas, especially Pirate Lord Dreadwind and his band of miscreants".
A reimagining of an old character I had built way back in 2015. Since the moment I lay eyes on the kanohi Iden I've always pictured it belonging to an elegant, gentlemanly-looking character. wanted to make this redcoat aesthetic work. Safe to say I managed to pull this off? I'll let you all be the judge of that!

"Prepare for the plundering of yer lifetime, ye wee scallywags!"
Started this fella around the start of October with the intention to have him ready for #halloween, but decided to post it sooner cause I'll be busy next weekend.

You thought I was done with my #samurai #MOC, didn't you? Well hate to #burst your #bubble but it'll probably be another couple weeks before that's done.

In 2016 I was able to finish two MOCs. In 2017, seven. So this year I really wanted to dive back in and see what I could do. My goal was an average of one a month, and I'm happy to say that thanks to a marathon three MOC December, I succeeded! I'm excited to say that I fully believe my work this year is, in sum, the best work I've ever done.
To top that off, in September I had the amazing opportunity to visit the LEGO House with 14 other talented and wonderful AFOLs to install our works in the LEGO House Masterpiece Gallery. Being in Billund, at the LEGO HQ, at the LEGO House, with these people was one of the greatest moments of my life. I came out of it excited for my hobby, my friends, and my future. And I can't imagine my last few months without the incredible friendships I built while there.
And in December I was able to install some work in the Downtown Portland library with some great and wonderful PORTLUG members. It's been a good year.
I can't wait to see what 2019 brings for all of us in the LEGO world. I'm hopeful and ready.
And in the meantime, check out my last build of 2018,
Captain Salvador of the Airship Carriedo, built for the Brickset Character Competition.
