The SEC Centre (originally known as the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre until 2017) is Scotland's largest exhibition centre, located in Glasgow, Scotland. It is one of the three main venues within the Scottish Event Campus.

Since the opening of the original buildings in 1985, the complex has undergone two major expansions; the first being the SEC Armadillo in 1997, and then the OVO Hydro in 2013. The venue's holding company SEC Limited, is 91% owned by Glasgow City Council and 9% owned by private investors. It is probably best known for hosting concerts, particularly in Hall 4 and Hall 3.

Batemans Bay Road Bridge

A mid twentieth century engineering marvel.

A steel vertical lift truss two-lane bridge which was constructed across the River Clyde in 1956. The centre section (with the control hut) rises to allow ships to pass under the bridge. (2005-05-24).

We spent two nights in Batemans Bay and stayed right along side the river. We had dinner as the sun set and stepped out and took some photos on the way back to our hotel.

We had been admiring this yacht from the shore. While on our river cruise we had the chance to get much closer. From one of my photos I could read the boat registration RB107N. An internet search revealed the name of the yacht to be Tiare Tahiti. It is on the wooden boat register and built in 1950.

This is a photograph of the Clyde Arc bridge spanning the Clyde river in Glasgow, Scotland. Despite the brightness of the scene it was absolutely pitch dark where I was standing and had to operate my camera by touch, not vision; as I couldn't even see it !!!

The river was calm that night and so gave me a chance to get a nice reflection.

PERCH LOW LIGHTHOUSE WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1861, BUT THE PRESENT-DAY LIGHTHOUSE WAS BUILT IN 1919 ALONG WITH THE PERCH HIGH LIGHTHOUSE LOCATED ON THE QUAY AT PORT GLASGOW, LOCALLY KNOWN AS STEAMBOAT QUAY. PERCH LOW LIGHTHOUSE HAS AN ACTIVE FOCAL PLANE 7 M (23 FT) WITH A CONTINUOUS GREEN LIGHT. THE LIGHTHOUSE IS 7 M (23 FT) TALL ROUND TOWER WITH LANTERN AND A NARROW GALLERY. LIGHTHOUSE IS PAINTED A BLACK AND WHITE CHECKERBOARD PATTERN WITH THE LANTERN DOME IS PAINTED WHITE TO ACT AS A VERY DISTINCTIVE DAY MARKER. PERCH LOW LIGHTHOUSE LOCATED ON A ROCKY LEDGE ABOUT 200 M (220 YD) OFF THE PORT GLASGOW WATERFRONT.
