Seen while flying to work. Some mist on the Cluth river / Mata-Au which runs through the town an hour (by car) south of our city. If you click on it you can see road and rail bridges and the river divides forming an island of rich farmland called Inch Clutha.

Dad arriving with a topup for his two ready to fledge young.
This pair have had a run of bad clutch since January this year. This cluth is the first of four that they have been able to bring to fledge.
Rain, high wind and other misfortunes have resulted in three nests being abandoned.
I hadn't seen a killdeer in at least six months, and then this one showed up at the slough standing off to the side of wading-
and shorebirds. I thought perhaps they'd be back in numbers in January, but even this one is gone. Confusing that they're residents and I've seen them in mud flats, grasslands, marshes but never more than two or three at any one time. The only constant is that they always look apprehensive and "sad" and that doesn't matter what season it is although it is heightened when she has a cluth of eggs to protect.

Thank God a saw the brand inside the purse and it says "PlasticFlex." I looked it up on the internet... then I knew I found a vintage treasure from the 40´s made out of Bakelite!!
So this beautiful purse was my inspiration to create a Modern Bedrooom Diorama!

Espero que este ano seja um excelente ano para todas nós. Que possamos ter saúde, muita saúde, mas muita mesmo, para realizarmos todas nossas aspirações!
Para abrir as postagens deste ano de 2013, trago o resultado das minhas costurices em SP, durante minhas férias. Isso mesmo!
Fiquei hospedada na casa da minha mana e, nós duas, nos divertimos muito em sua singer brilliance, enquanto as 4 meninas (minhas filhas e minhas sobrinhas) derrubavam o apto com a ajuda, é claro, da sushi e da bombom (duas vira latas muito enérgicas e carentes de atenção). Impressionante como o Sr. Minutinho de Silêncio não passou por lá. Devia estar de férias também em algum resort na Bahia. Quando não eram as crianças gritando, rindo e gargalhando …. eram as cachorras latindo muito, pulando e pedindo carinho incansavelmente. Ôooo… coisa boaaaaa….isso sim é sinal de boa saúde….muito barulho e bagunça sempre…. que continue assim em 2013!!!
Preparamos dois lindos kits para minhas sobrinhas. Em meio a pêlos das au-aus e muitos brinquedos espalhados no chão, relaxei trabalhando com lindos tecidos. Como estava de férias, o botão OFF ficou no OFF o tempo todo, para que as meninotas pudessem se divertir muito.

Situated in Ucluelet on beautiful Terrace Beach, the waterfront cabins are nestled in the midst of the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve - Long Beach and Wickaninnish Beach only 10 minutes drive to the northwest, and the Broken Group Islands and the West Coast Trail to the southeast. Northwest, just beyond the Pacific Rim Park lies Tofino, a 30 minute drive.
The Wild Pacific Trail is adjacent to the Terrace Beach Resort - walk the cliffs alongside the wild Pacific Ocean to the world-famous Amphitrite Point lighthouse. Watch for whales, eagles, sea otters, and other wildlife. Another short section of the Wild Pacific Trail wanders along Terrace Beach, with signs explaining the presence and significance of the 4000 year old midden and canoe launch site of the Yuu-cluth-aht people.
The Ucluelet First Nations’ word for Terrace Beach is “Capacuwis”. They would land their canoes at Terrace Beach and portage across a narrow stretch of land to re-enter the water at Spring Cove. So, they are a Capacuwis Resort in the Nuu-cha-nulth language (Barclay sound dialect). Whether you say “Capacuwis Resort” or “Terrace Beach Resort”, it is the same, and they will welcome you....
The Ucluelet waterfront accommodation is designed to resemble a 1920 west coast fishing village built on pilings, with boardwalks that meander among the 400 year old fir, hemlock, and cedar trees leading to your fully-equipped beachfront cottage. The upper boardwalk houses our Office and many unique one and two bedroom suites, some with private hot tubs.
Ucluelet offers year-round activities - world class surfing, fishing, whale and storm watching, kayaking, hiking, cycling, birding, bear watching, plus boat and float plane tours. There is an active bald eagle nest on our Resort site, in one of the many old evergreens above our Eagle's Nest hot tub suite. They are in a temperate rain forest, with many types of deciduous and evergreen trees, many various mosses and ferns, salal, and cynamocka....
A striking mural paying homage to the history of the area and celebrating a variety of personalities who visited the location has been created on the external walls of Clutha Bar in Bridgegate, Glasgow. Celebrities depicted include Billy Connolly, Jimmy Reid, Spike Milligan, Gerry Rafferty, Alex harvey, Frank Zappa, Jimmy Reid, John Martyn, Glenda Jackson and Rupert Everett.
The mural has been created by street artists Bob McNamara aka RogueOne and Danny McDermott aka Ejek. The work was completed in the summer of 2015 following the re-opening of the bar after a helicopter crashed into it on 29 November 2013 in which ten people lost their lives.

Actually to secure my homeland I would have to split myself into fourths and go back to Europe.
I think this is somebody else's homeland. Oh, well, always willing to chip in and do my part. I'm also a member of Sertoma, Kiwanis and Noon Rotary. I love meetings. I'm a people person.
Anywho ... hot enough for ya? Well, what do you think? Is this the end of our American Fascism Period — or just the beginning?
You think we will have elections in 2008? You think Bush and Cheney will walk out voluntarily?

I don't know. I am just here to do my duty. To protect and to serve and to eat pizza. That would be my motto, I have decided, if anyone ever asks what my motto is. I swear that's what it is.
I was in the Hospers post office yesterday. Rush Limbaugh is always on in there, loud. I wonder if anyone listens, or if it's just on for noise, like having Paul Harvey on over noon in the cafe so nobody has to really talk to each other.
I heard, though. Limbaugh was talking about illegals and how they were dangerous and they were terror-type individuals. That's why I'm wearing this white hood and sheet out here in the garden.
I want us to be free. I want it so bad. My dreams are all about baseball, hot dogs, apple pie and Chevrolet. I swear they are. I want our kids to be free to grow up and join the National Guard and go kill who needs to be killed and then have the freedom to come back and worship in the church of their choice and work at Pizza World.
I'll stand here all day, or until my arms get pretty tired, to make sure that happens. I love the ol' Fatherland, Motherland, Disneyland, I really do.
Shhh. Here comes those g.d. aliens. They just stare. That bugs me. I think they know it does. They've got a round ship and blinking lights and I think I've seen 'em around here before. They all look about the same to me.

Lives in Sheldon, Iowa with wife, Ruth, and two children. Works at group home for disabled adults.

The CLS 63 AMG.
Handcrafted 5.5 - lliter Direct Injection biturbo V-8 delivers 518 hp and 0-60 mph in a mere 4.4 seconds. Light weight low friction and a fuel- saving ECO Start/Stop system results in ultralow emissions and surprising efficency -- up to 25 mgp on the highway. The 7-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT transmission incorporates a wet startup cluth and a paddle-shfited Manual mode that can change gears in just 100 milliseconds.
