I went to a bird sanctuary yesterday hoping to find some birds to take pictures of. Unfortunately, they didn't seem to want to come out and play on this dark and cloudy day. I think I may have spotted one in the skies instead...So, I guess I did go birdwatching after all.
Another shot from my recent trip to the Austrian alps. Off again mid-April and I am counting down the weeks :0) 12 to go!!!! Well to be precise, 90 days, 8 hours, 36 minutes and 5 seconds (love the Iphone countdown app)
Right, second upload for this one. Thanks for Nolan for the advice about the cropping as I think it works as it is cutting out all that dead space created by the cloudy sky. Also, the trees are now more prominent.

Some old pieces of a Chinese table that I rescued. I repaired the wooden parts and replaced the table surface with a steel sheet which is brushed in different directions so that it looks like a cloudy sky.
Yesterday was misty, foggy and cloudy, the sun came through the clouds just at sunset leaving just a gap for the following moonrise and one bright star to shine through the trees.
Yeah! It's finished. My cloudy beach day is an original painting. Challenging? Yup. Am I still having fun? Ask me tomorrow. These pieces have a way of obliterating time and almost everything else. I think I'll head out to the beach to chill on this 90+ degree eve. And just for fun I added myself, my husband, and our first dog,Raisin, out for a stroll too.
