Met up with Steve for some early morning shooting at the Hyde Street pier. I've been trying to go a different direction with my B+W work by experimenting with T/S lenses and DoF to create more mystery and add a dream-like feel to the image. I've been out several times but have not come back with much due to learning the nuances of the T/S lenses. I thought this one did come close to what I had envisioned.
All comments, critiques and feedback both positive and negative welcome.

View up the North Fork of the Shoshone from the canyon mouth in Wapiti Valley. Clouds obscure the Absaroka Mountains. All the rocks on the hills, visible in the photo, belong to the Eocene Absaroka Volcanic Supergroup.

Clouds cover the mountains above frozen Whitefish Lake, Montana. This photo was taken from City Beach in Whitefish Montana.
Facing east from the vicinity of Moran, Wyoming. My best guess for this is Mt. Randolph, in the Bridger-Teton National Forest.
We are having thunderstorms & lightings in the evenings the past week. Spectacular sky show but frightening at times.

Nice, secluded beach somewhere between Ft. Bragg and Mendocino, California.
Started off cloudy, but as I made my way down the coast and the day went on, it started clearing into a bright sunny day.
I love the coast above San Francisco. As beautiful as Big Sur, but without all the tourists.

I'm still after all these years in love with reflections of clouds and cliffs. There's something of a conversation about the interplay of image and reflection, that fascinates me. I'm lucky to have such wonderful mirrors available to me every day, irrespective of wind and weather, so always walk with cloudy shoes. Cloudy Shoes is a beautiful track by Damien Jurado. I may go and get my shoes nice and cloudy this afternoon.
