Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy VII. Based on his sprite.
This is the 6th variation I have made of this figure. I wanted to use updated parts Lego has released and I based it on his sprite in game somewhat, hence the choice of the brighter blue.

When I initially started my Lego FF project, Cloud Strife was one of my main goals to make as a fig since he was one of my fave FF characters from one of my fave FF games. He underwent a few stages when making him. The V1 concept was made sometime near the end of 2008. At that time my resources for a good Cloud were limited. I used the BF Hero hair before for my AC version of Cloud, but for the game version it didn't quite suit him. The BF Goblin Sword at the time was the only good Buster Sword. To give me more of an idea of how he should look, I stuck on decal made by sora00 on Bshelf. This fig was never meant for public eyes nor was it going to be final. The V1 Final was made in summer of 09. I ditched the decal, hair, and goblin sword for my own Buster Sword and better hair (obtained from Kubricks KH Cloud). I didn't know how to brasso, so I just used MMCB to cover up a dark blue torso, and it gives that sweater look. This is my Cloud. He is how I envisioned him before. But my hunger was not satisified so I set out to make a different version of Cloud using different resources an make him more Lego-like. V2 Concept goes bak to where I started with V1, except no decal. Using a BrickTW sword this time, and yellow hero hair. The V2 Final isn't far off from the Concept, just switching to chrome, and painted the exo force hair and giving him a soldier belt. Personally not a bad fig, just my way of testing the playing field.
Cloud was never intended to be Reconstructed, but since he has been made so many times, I figured why not give him another look. This particular fig is actually a joint effort between me and customizor Amadgunslinger. He sculpted the hair and designed the decal personally, while I made the other additions. I even gave this Cloud BF's rubbery pauldron which I think fits better. And for the spirit of it all, I gave him the BrickCommand Buster Sword to give him that official feel.
Personally I am still partial to my V1 Final, but the Reconstruction just makes him more Cloud, if that makes sense.
This set is currently still being released. At the moment the characters in it are: Sora, Kairi, Jack Skellington, Cloud Strife, Goofy, Donald Duck, Jafar (with Genie), Oogie Boogie, Heartless, Maleficent, Hades and Ansem.
These are the trading figure versions (that came in mystery box packaging) and not the ones that came on blister cards. The paint job is much better quality on these compare do the ones that were released for the mass market.
