I finally found some time to pick up my camera again and go storm chasing. I found this beautiful formation with a nice little rainbow.
Clouds Amaze Me
By Don Iannone
Clouds amaze me
how easily they make friends
with other clouds, but
always maintain their independence, and
how they put themselves
at the mercy of the wind, that
keeps them from becoming
too set in their ways like mountains.
Clouds amaze me
how they drift in wisps and billows, and
how they dress up as scowling old men
with stately white beards, or
naughty elephants standing on hind legs, or
even battered pirate ships
on a tumultuous sea.
Clouds amaze me
how they seduce my imagination, and
how they make me want to dance, and
how they make me want to be
something other than I am,
if only long enough
to know what it’s like
to be someone or something else.
Clouds amaze me
because they can be whatever
they want to be, and
finally just like good poems, they
leave the right parts of the story untold.
The dramatic cloud cover over Pune on a monsoon morning, from the hotel window. (Hotel Sun n Sand)
Someone on my fb post of this pic suggested that there is dragon in the clouds. I too could see it after he mentioned.
Lemme know if you see it too. :)
After a chilly clear morning ,dramatic clouds began to build …and even a few rare raindrops fell…Very few ! :-(
I took this last week, on a very rare day when it wasn't raining. I've not really done many sunsets, so this was all trial and error. It's actually a HDR from 3 exposures, something I very rarely do either.
Only thing i'm not happy about is the banding around the sun, which is called the fried egg effect from some forums i've been reading. Not really sure how you avoid it, but this will have to do for the time being. Hope you like it.
I just love blue skies and fluffy clouds. Had probably 100+ shots on the flight back and only liked 2. This is one of them, on my way home from Brunei. Not the conventional blue skies shot for once :)
Weekend is near, woopie!
The little traveler inside me was close to dying from happiness in Florence. It was surely an amazing experience...
Some threatening clouds moved over Sydney, but did not deliver a storm. Here seen over Manly Dam in a six-image panorama.
