It seems this train was sunny earlier on, but by the time it got to Timaru, the clouds had knocked the sun out. Would have been nice if that cloud bank had been higher, but raising myself further had the sea being visible above track height, losing the silhouette.

Hope I'm wrong and it's just me but feel others might be having same issues as us.
