I haven't been to Cloud 9 , the famous Siargao surfing spot, for some time: (it's that little white streak on the right of the picture) so I was disturbed to find the destruction going on around it.

I met up with our new mayor, one Felipe Espejon, who was supervising this stuff, and was warned, very explicitly, that I should 'behave myself' if I wanted to keep living here.

We went to have a drink in "Cloud 9", which is situated on the 87th(!) floor of the Jin Mao Tower.

It was sort of amazing, we had to take 3 different elevators to even reach that level.

The prices were about the same as in European cocktail bars.
