I should've checked my settings before firing off this shot of tonight's sky, at F22 and ISO 6400 it's grainy, but I'm like a man possessed when I see something like this, rushing through the house to grab my camera and shooting before the scene changes!

Music recommendation from my nephew Dylan:

Cloudkicker - Explore, be curious

This is my entry for RogueOlympics 2023 Round 1, with the topic "Über den Wolken / Above the clouds". The RogueOlympics are a build contest by the RogueBricks Community, with each week featuring a new topic and a part limit of just 101 pieces (I used 100, including all the hidden/erased support structures).

I built the Sea Duck, Baloo's trusty amphibian plane from Disney's TaleSpin and Kit Cloudkicker doing what he loves most: surfing the clouds on his fold-out glide board.

Free building instructions for the Sea Duck can be found on Rebrickable.

The Disney Afternoon was a collection of half hour original Disney programming that ran in syndication in the early 1990's. The structure of the program included a musical begining and end, as well as bumpers. The format typically consisted of 4 shows, which each year, the shows would move forward a half hour within the program and the first show would be removed and a brand new show would be added to the last half hour. The first run of the Disney afternoon included Gummi Bears, Ducktales, Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers, and Talespin. Eventually new shows would be added, like Darkwing Duck, Goof Troop, Gargoyles, Bonkers, and others.

Due the fact that I had a lot fun building the Winnie the Pooh figures some weeks ago I decided to make more Disney characters. TaleSpin was one my favorite tv series(next to Winnie the Pooh), therefore I decided to make some characters (Kit Cloudkicker, Baloo and Louie) from that series.

I hope you like it :)

Hello This is my idea based on the TaleSpin an (animated television series) in 1990.

It features characters adapted from Disney's 1967 animated feature The Jungle Book.

The series takes place in the fictional town of Cape Suzette in the 1930s.

Higher for Hire, originally called Baloo's Air Service, is a "one plane" delivery service in Cape Suzette delivering cargos to different areas of the world. Their cargo has included fresh produce, fragile wares, ornaments, artifacts, and other incredible items.

In one of the legendary adventures of the team with the famous plane Sea Duck of the company Higher for Hire, our friends got ambushed by Don Karnage’s air pirates. Through a severe storm, the plane crash landed onto an unmapped island!

In order to survive, the crew uses parts from the cargo in order to make tools: harpoons, fishing rods and accessories, including a raft, a fire signal on the edge of the rock and an SOS message on the sand, so they can survive while exploring the island.

A great ancient secret is hidden inside the waterfall!

Maybe a very old ancestor of Don Karnage?

Time is running out... and maybe Don Karnage’s gang will locate them and steal their precious cargo.

However, the team has with them the best mechanic possible, cape Suzette! And with a big variety of available tools combined with what the island’s natural resources, they can reassemble the plane and escape!!!

Minifigures:

Baloo von Bruinwald XIII (Pilot of Higher for Hire)

Kit Cloudkicker (Sky-flyer, & Navigator)

Rebecca Cunningham (Businesswoman & owner of Higher for Hire)

Wildcat (Mechanic in Higher for Hire)

Bricks: 2975

You can spin it with these Brickheadz!

Just a little update of my TaleSpin Brickheadz where I redesigned Kit to be in the same scale as other small Brickheadz like Yoda, Olaf, and Hedwig. Also, they are both completely made out of parts that actually exist in these colors now so that you can build them for real! Instructions for these, as well as other Brickheadz and MOCs, are available on Rebrickable: rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-29630/Oky/baloo-and-kit-cloudkic...

This Lego Ideas project is based off of the TV show TaleSpin. It contains the SeaDuck, Higher for Hire, and the Tri-wing Terror. Minifigures in this project represent Baloo, Kit Cloudkicker, Rebecca Cunningham, and Don Karnage.

ideas.lego.com/s/p:178a16395a9249428f3a0039ecd94eaf?s=m

From the show's universe the SeaDuck is a Conwing L-16 seaplane used for general cargo/passenger transportation. Baloo is its pilot while Kit serves as co-pilot/navigator. Giving chase to them is the leader of the Air Pirates Don Karnage. His plane of choice is the Tri-wing Terror, a heavily modified CT-37 Triplane. The CT-37 has become synonymous with the Air Pirates because of it's amazing maneuverability and ability to be easily modified.

The building in this project is the headquarters for Hire for higher the air cargo service formerly owned by Baloo, now owned by Rebecca Cunningham. The building has a small cargo warehouse and four levels. The fist floor is the main office, the second floor has a small bedroom and the top floor functions as a radio room.

Baloo is the main character in the animated series TaleSpin. In the series, Baloo and other characters are in a world where animals wear clothing and live in large cities, much like the world of Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and Goofy. Here, Baloo lives in Cape Suzette, where he ran his own air-freight shipping company, Baloo's Air Sevice. He wears a yellow short-sleeved shirt and a red pilot hat. Also, though he has claws on his toes, like before, he has none on his fingers in this appearance. Due to his never paying his bills, though, the bank sells his company to a businesswoman named Rebecca Cunningham, who changes its name to Higher For Hire and hires Baloo as the delivery pilot. His best pal is a bearcub named Kit Cloudkicker, a former air-pirate who used to work for Don Karnage and now serves as his co-pilot on the cargo plane, the Sea Duck. His strange but incredibly ingenious mechanic, Wildcat, takes care of all the equipment maintenance for Higher for Hire. Baloo enjoys the good life and can often be found hanging out in his pal Louie's tropical cabana night club. Baloo is constantly troubled by the business tycoon, Shere Khan, the Air-Pirate Don Karnage, and Colonel Spigot, among others
