I was battling the midges (my first experience with the little bastards) tyring to compose some images of this Old Bridge without tourits in the scene. My patience ran out so I later cloned them out ;-)

In this image you can see the Graham, Marsco, in the distance.

From Wiki: Grahams are defined as Scottish hills between 600 and 762 metres in height, with a minimum prominence, or drop, of 150 metres

From Sgùrr Thuilm.

A walk in Portree after we arrived, led us past a couple of boats grounded by low tide or just pulled well up onto the shore I'm not sure.

I thought they made a nice foreground element for the view across to Penifiler.

Siamo fatti della stessa materia di cui sono fatti i sogni Vorrei essere una nuvola bianca in un cielo infinito per seguirti ovunque e amarti ogni istante Se sei un sogno non svegliarmi.

Looking NW across upper Glen Brittle from at or near the summit of Sgùrr Thuilm towards Loch Harport with the Glen Brittle road visible at centre left. Sgùrr Thuilm is a spur off the main Cuillin ridge and a fantastic viewpoint. It has a fantastically airy, narrow summit ridge but there are no notable difficulties in getting up there or traversing it.

Sligachan bridge - Cuillins - Isle of Skye - Scotland

And there's nothing that i can do about it

They led the way through one of Scotland’s most famous mountain ranges. Professor Norman Collie and John Mackenzie are credited with creating many of the routes across the Cuillins on Skye.

Another gem from Scotland. We stayed about 15 minutes away, in Portree, and this was shot on the way to Neist Point. Time is about 8:00PM, so you are starting to get some harsher shadowing and nice tonality. This is looking East, so I have the sun setting behind me to the left. If you think quintessential Scotland, this is it.

A day later, I had tried for a sunrise shot, at about 0300-0400, but we ran into usual Skye weather of rain, overcast and very windy (~50mph), preventing any shot of this.

Lucky to be in Skye last night for the gorgeous Aurora display. There was heavy cloud cover and I was doubtful we'd be able to see anything, but it cleared enough to be visible even to the naked eye. The pink however was only revealed on camera.

Best display of noctilucent cloud here on Skye so far this summer.

Perfect happiness is a beautiful sunset, the giggle of a grandchild, the first snowfall. It's the little things that make happy moments, not the grand events. Joy comes in sips, not gulps. Sharon Draper

Shame the clouds were so low but you can't have everything.

While battling the midges (my first experience with the little bastards) trying to compose some images of the Old Bridge, I turned around to see the summit of Glamaig shrouded in cloud.

The Scots have such great names and categories for their hills and mountains. Glamaig is a Corbett

According to Wiki, Corbetts are defined as Scottish mountains between 2,500–3,000 feet (762.0–914.4 m) in height with a prominence of at least 500 feet (152.4 m

Deflated at having plans scuttled to see our first iconic Skye location, we headed back towards Portree. On the way, Sligachan provided an opportunity for some photography of an old stone bridge, the river and the Glen area. Others must have been doing the same as parking was limited but I managed to squeeze in along the road.
