The current weather pattern is just perfect for beautiful skies and exciting clouds. Gone are the dull grey days and we get heavy showers, sun, rainbows etc. Perfect

Taken overhead London, England on Feb 21st...A snowy cold day. Between 10,000 and 15,000 feet.

Clouds

 

Some swifts were feeding low over the house so I went to get my camera to see if I could get any good pictures of them in flight. Needless to say they beggared off before I'd even started trying. These are consolation photos.

...taken in a field west of Poplar Creek Road near Oliver Springs, TN on 10/20/2009 at 6:47 pm edt.

Alas, I didn't have my tripod with me on my walk or I'd have a dot rather than a streak. I still thought it pretty neat that Mars seems to rise out of clouds illuminated by a setting sun. The light on the clouds was gone minutes later and pretty soon they had swallowed up the planet.
