The end of an overcast day. Winter Soltice. Lake Wendouree. Ballarat.

Atop Mt. Tam (about 2500 feet above sea level) in Marin County all the different layers of clouds and fog are visible.

We hiked up into the base of the clouds enroute to Lake Helen Mackenzie and our campsite.

I really like the shape I was able to get on this one. The colour and depth I was able to get within the cloud is a little surprising to me, and pretty happy with the result.

The little black/grey specks in the photo are birds. I didn't want to take the time to clone them all out of the scene.

Havelock, North Carolina, July 5, 2018, 6:33pm: The setting sun glows behind the clouds over the Neuse River as the North Carolina ferry travels from the Cherry Point station in Havelock to the Minnesott station.

The forecast for Thursday morning was for rain but rain ended early and skys cleared. Looking southeast over the hills of Onondaga.

It was like a giant Stingray Hovered in the Heavens..

Medicine Lake Park, Minneapolis, MN

This lake is very famous due to it contains a desert beside, it is an artifitial lake , there is a elecicity power plant down the lake, on the way to Pakistan. the background of snow mountains is the saint mountains for local people.

Unfortunately this iPhone camera just doesn't capture any kind of detail, so you it's a bit hard to see - but there were some nifty God Cloud rays shining down on the Capitol building & Library of Congress this morning. Shot as I passed through the mall on my walk from the VRE Train to work.
