With approximately 4 weeks until closure, time was running out for shots like this, over Woodhead.

At 08.00 on 18th June 1981, 76022+76023 head east with an MGR train from Wath Yard.

Took a shot of the pool as it's being close tomorrow as a just in case shot. Well that saved the day.

for my 120 photo in 2020 project, number 57 "in a muddle".

It's that time of year when they do the annual maintenance.

I had to take a photo of the sign to remember when I can walk over the bridge next week. I thought it was closed to pedestrians as well, but now realise I can go for my daily "2 bridges" walk as long as it's after 5pm!

I also didn't see this little globe lying on the floor, thank goodness I didn't step on it, but the picture looks like I was trying to!

London United DE20119 (YX60CCA) on Route 419 as its exits Richmond Bus Station. The 419 has now been rerouted to Barnes Pond due to Hammersmith Bridge closure

An unusual site was observed nearby Normanby on the Ekka loop this Saturday as 2706 and 2309 pulled loaded coal train 9823 through the city. The sweep of 42 coal wagons detoured on its route from Camedy Downs by preforming 4 laps of the City loop beginning at Milton and through Roma St, Bowen Hills then exhibition, training for the Summer holiday track closures. Soon after the train crossed the Merivale and headed to her destination of Fishermen Island, an empty coal train departed port which did the same 4 loops of the city before continuing west.

The last time I'm aware a coalie visited the City was back in 2009 due to a points failure at Corinda. Then, the locos detached from their load and ran around the train using the loop.

Superclydes have also once again made their way onto the coal trains since their usual job of hauling grain is now over for the season. They do a lovely job at spicing up the consist. This is the first time a 2700 has led a coalie through the city.

A1 Road is closed due to the fires in Flagstaff, Wednesday, June 30, 2021. Many elite runners drive up to 30 miles in order to use the beautiful tree-dotted 6-mile loop for their easy runs.

The closure of the B3107 within Bradford on Avon saw First diverting their D1 route to Bath via the A363, not usually served.

Oddly, rather than the usual Discover liveried vehicles, Wells allocated Mendip Explorer B7RLE 69447 WX59BZA is working on loan to Bath depot. The grade II listed Swan Hotel is therefore not a regular background, and neither is the gold postbox that commemorates the efforts of Ed McKeever, the local kayaker, at the 2012 Olympics.

WEEK 21.1 – Toys “R” Us, Augusta, GA

Finally from this classic Augusta Toys “R” Us, one last close-up of the front exterior, with a nice little sun glare almost acting as a rainbow over this formerly rainbow-striped store :) Despite the slight remodel, I thought it was very cool that this store was still able to keep so many of its original exterior elements for so long, and that they stayed in such pristine shape to boot. If you'd like to see what this store looked like in its full-blown original design, check out these awesome photos I found, scrolling left at that link. Again, I appreciate my parents driving by here and getting these photos back in April!

Tomorrow, we'll begin a tour of a more local TRU, and I'll share more of my thoughts on the closures...

These places are public so these photos are too, but just as I tell where they came from, I'd appreciate if you'd say who :)

i thought how unpleasant it is to be locked out; and i thought how it is worse, perhaps, to be locked in.

even more closure

A sizeable section of May Blvd. beyond Getwell was closed completely as of last weekend, and some lanes on Getwell near the bridge were closed off as well. Temporary traffic headaches for sure!

Dents has been a famous chemists and photography shop in Chesterfield for many, many decades. When we moved to Chesterfield 35 years ago it was the main photographic supplier in town. Over the years I bought a number of cameras such as my Voigtlander rangefinders and other equipment and used the developing and printing service. Before the pandemic the shop had been running down its stock and the pandemic has ended an era. The pharmacy is still going attached to a local general practice.

Words are flowing out like endless rain into a paper cup

They slither wildly as they slip away

Across the universe

Pools of sorrow, waves of joy are drifting through my opened mind

Possessing and caressing me

And so she sealed up the wounds,

the hurt,

the pain.

And decided it would hurt her no more.

"I found the meaning

Move from my bones

It's like I'm dreaming

It's like I'm dreaming

It's like I'm dreaming

It's like I'm dreaming

When the time is closer

When the sun is harming days, they say

That your dreams can come in ways

Through it all

I got the answer

That love is closure

(Your love is closure)

That love is closure

That love is closure

That love is closure

Your love is closure

That love is closure

(Your love is closure)

I got the meaning

That move from my bones

It's like I'm dreaming

It's like I'm dreaming

It's like I'm dreaming

It's like I'm-

It's like I'm dreaming

Oh, when the time is closer

When the sun is harming days, they say

That your dreams can come in ways

Through it all

I found the answer

That love is closure

(Love is closure)

That love is closure

Your love is closure

It's like I'm dreaming

Mirador de la Silla del Moro.

Cerro del Sol.

Granada, Andalusia, Spain.

This two-image vertorama of the city of Granada at dusk wraps up a series of three panoramic photographs taken from the so-called Silla del Moro. Being in beautiful natural setting only minutes away from the city center, this location is fairly well known by locals, but still remains off the beaten path for many travelers in town. This patch of Mediterranean forest in the city is specially appreciated by those looking for a breath of fresh air while hiking, running, or biking through the number of scenic trails that cruise the area during the weekends.

Up next, Italy will be coming back to my photostream, with some new long exposure architectural images I have been working lately and will hopefully be akin to your taste.

The park near our home was roped off and closed to the neighborhood children due to the COVID-19 stay at home order. Someday soon I'll post a happy picture of them playing in full, vibrant color. For now, black and white sums up the scene.

The ex-Great Northern & London North Western Joint, Melton Mowbray to Market Harborough, railway line seems well preserved in this view between Slawston and Medbourne looking south from the overbridge towards Harborough. The view in the other direction is of a picturesque water feature in what was the cutting!

The Joint Line ended about 5km south of here at Welham Junction where it joined the LNWR route to Stamford.

Opened in 1879 this once important freight route carried 100 trains a day up to 1939 but passenger traffic was never significant. The LNWR ran a Northampton to Nottingham service but all regular passenger trains were withdrawn in 1953 although summer excursion traffic still ran. Minerals, particularly iron ore, trains continued until complete closure south of Harby & Stathern in 1964.

It was the last car drove by the old bridge as the shot you may there were no other cars on the bridge. The last last was a old classic car and escort by two caltrain cars. They drove by from Oakland side and exit to Treasure Island.

The fog was very thick that it covered about the whole bridge ... adds more drama to it.

This is the history moment!!! Once in a life time to see it :)

Spring appears to be almost spent in this part of the world. The little lame balloonman is going home.

Drew, Sassy and Scott

[Continuation of Split Screen Sadness (Closure, Pt. 1)]

Scott --- I just came here to tell Sassy. I'm leaving F2K.

Drew --- What?

Sassy --- I tried to talk him out of it but...

Scott --- I've been thinking about it ever since we... you

Drew --- Ever since I didn't go through with the wedding.

Scott ---- Yeah.

Drew --- You don't have to leave because of me you know.

Scott --- I know. After Brie [the "other" Drew] told me the truth we started talking and...

Drew --- Are you two [she hesitates] together?

Scott --- After we started talking we just had this strong connection and... I think I just wanna find out, you know, where things could go.

The pub is named Volunteer Hotel because of its association with local volunteer firefighters. When the fire bell across the street rang, volunteers would gather and proceed on to the fire. Once their work was complete, they would meet at the hotel for refreshment. The hotel closed in 1928 and is now a private residence......Wikipedia

It's homecoming weekend. So expect a picture chock-full of school spirit for tomorrow.

The McIntosh Ag Museum is closing for the year. I went out to the Ag Museum to reshoot inside the farm house, on the last week end of their season. I had my full frame Nikon but got stuck inside the gate when I saw this door latch and knob. Is this what they called Japanned (shiny black enamel) or was it nothing more than black porcelain? I'd expect this latch to be on the inside of a door. I hadn't even gotten to the farm house. There is always something to find out here.

I had my podzilla and discovered everything became part of the image reflected in the knob. I had to apply the tricks I used in the studio, like disguise and hide. That was the trick used when I shot the glossy-orange, mirror-like Hanson ski boots. That is a lesson in photography. Anyway, I managed that shot of a virtually mirrored round subject. I was happy with my results. A hint, just because you are not in a studio, it does not mean you can't use props. Never forget the exposure timer. It allowed me to sneak from the reflections.

My last time to the Agricutural Heritage Center, The Lohr McIntosh Farm, I took my snap of the Roadside Attraction sign that showed fall colors. The Robbins book is worth adding to any library or collection. I have been loaded up with autumn captures this year in general but I switched into autumn agriculture. Autumn is toast at this point but we have had no snow nor any sprinkles. Thanks King Coal. BTW, Portugal declared 100% renewable energy; cloudy Germany has been bumping into 100% a few times this year.

It's easy to spot the MacSign and MacLake off to the south when on #66. Visit next season. There is a stock shed where they house the ponies, donkeys, horses, goats and pigs while the chickens peck at everything around. None seem to be the unfriendly sort but then, I already have dinner planned and wanted to stay clean, relatively so that I wasn't sending off bad vibes to the critters. Careful, the chickens and bunnies are usually under foot somewhere and a delight to the kiddies no doubt. One boy was trying to smuggle an egg out in his pant's pocket, hah. That might not work as well as he thinks. There are several exhibits inside the red Dickens barn and several horse-drawn implements for the mommas to explain to the kiddies. Terrific for a base education.
