A Whites Tree Frog, taken in 2018 and only just edited. They always seem to be smiling or as in this case look forlorn.
I had to hurry because the sun was about to disappear. I actually stripped a few bulbs away before taking photos using a prime 50mm Nikkor.
I also used an old aluminium foil to light up the subject from underneath.
On our back deck, we have a large lotus plant in a pot. We started it in May with an 8-inch piece of root. I am amazed at how large the plant grew and that it had seven beautiful blooms. This is the last one.
This winter, we will store the plant at the bottom of our pond, and next year divide it into three plants.
