Primo esperimento di clonazione :)

yay! my first clone shot! much thanks to julie and erin for the assist.

I love this clone---I got her in a trade from a wonderful fellow doll collector. If anyone knows her name or where I can find more like her--please let me know.

but this one looks good though

Ridge-eyelid clone, one I have had a long time. She came from US and is marked on her back "EVERGREEN British Colony of Hong Kong 1011½".

She is shorter and has a little different facemold than the other Evergreen-doll I have posted.

Body is hollow, sturdy plastic, non-TNT and SL-legs. Quality clone. Make-up is always a bit blurred on this type, vinyl of the head makes it I think.

Shes wearing Honey West-outfit - similar to Barbie´s Golden Glory! As good quality and made in Japan.

I need Honey West -doll...

my first attempt at a clone

There's seven different of me wearing different outfits and doing different tasks. I wanted to challenge myself and do as much as possible to fit in this picture. It was harder than I thought because each and every one of me is pretty big so most of them had to overlap each other. That made a lot more work when I was doing cloning but it was worth it. I think it came out really good. I'm trying to convey that this is all me. I do all these things almost everyday. This was very interesting. I definitely used a tripod to help me take all these same setting pictures. I used a f stop of 3.5 to accommodate the ISO of 200. Though, it is still not natural lighting but this it the best it could be.

School Assignment

This is my first clone picture! Meagan was good enough to pose for me. I was using the a Speedlite and torch lamp in the corner (that I PSed out). I am satisfied with my first clone attempt, but it is far from perfect.

I took myself to the park one day....

Muslim Barbie clone, black version, part of a set of Beautiful Girl dolls (two in the box for RO 1.500). Omani ladies wear a similar costume of a full length black robe called an abaya, sometimes open in the front, with a matching black head covering.

She comes wearing a black flannel headscarf with gold trim and a black flannel gown with gold and maroon trim at the neck and wrists. The gown is in a conservative Muslim style with elbows and knees covered (Oman is fine if non-Muslim women just cover shoulders and knees).

Strangely enough, the Beautiful Girl doll has blue eyes and pale orange hair rather than dark eyes and hair like the majority of Middle Eastern women. I don't think it was because she's made in China.

Even more strangely, almost all the dolls on sale at Lulu (the place with the largest doll section I've seen outside of Toys R Us) wear Western clothing. There were two aisles of them, and only one doll out of the whole lot - not even the Fulla dolls, the most popular Muslim Barbie clone - wore anything that looked like Muslim garb. Most of these dolls were blonde and light-eyed as well.

I'm not surprised they don't sell Barbie clones that look Middle Eastern. It was difficult enough looking for Barbie dolls which look Asian.

I didn't get these dolls at Lulu. They were at a small neighbourhood supermarket which also sold what I think was a fake Fulla in Muslim clothing (it was too cheap). That doll was also light-haired and eyed.

What the what ?

By the way - I am so not checking out my own arse.

I am proud of this one, too!

Toy.. but at least he tried.

STORMTROOPER Hey buddy ! your 30 minutes is up, its my turn now ! :O

I made this cake for my 4 year old son, Jeremy, who loves the "white guys" or Clone Troopers.

This clone majorette doll is a bit of a mystery.

Though tall like a Barbie, she has a flat chest and a face rather like Skipper's, and she has flat feet. Her body is unmarked, but the back of her head is marked "A.E. 1964"

The mark "A.E." was used by a lot of companies. Prominently Allied Eastern and Allied Grand, as well as some other companies. Also, Canadian-produced Tammy Type dolls used this mark, and her face does resemble some of the Tammy family dolls. I thought maybe her outfit was mom-made, but I think its factory produced. Her boots are marked "Hong Kong." Her face and arms are soft vinyl, and her body and legs are cheap hollow hard plastic.

She seems like she once had hair (there are some blonde bits left) but it appears to have been shorn to accommodate her majorette hat.

If I had to guess, I would say some parts left over from the production of some other doll were purchased by some factory, who dressed her in the majorette costume and sold her that way. That's purely speculation, however.

I bought her at an antique mall for a couple of dollars.
