PETER:
Hello my liefste prinses Rosie, my allerbeste vriend Scout, my dearest niece Sweety and my dearest friends Luis and Bärbel.
I have a small problem and will therefore meet you a little later.
On the way to the Magic Portal I was attacked by a nasty bird. He stole two clogs which he took to a birdhouse in Mummy Marian's garden. I almost got them back and then he flew away...with the clogs.
I'm now stuck in the birdhouse and I'm trying to get out of here.
Maybe I'll sleep here tonight because it's getting dark.
See you soon...I hope
I love you all!!
I'm sending you many soft bearkisses. The most are for my dearest princess Rosie
These wooden shoes - clogs, "klompen" in Dutch - were worn by my father to work in his garden. I've put them as a decorative element and as a memory of my father in mine. And I've added an old rake-and-hoe ("hark en schoffel").
These clogs are painted in black, yellow and red, the colours of the Belgian flag if you paint them vertically. The same colours painted horizontally form the German flag.
Bought these clogs in Zaanse Schans - I think they're for decorating myself, but I like them just the way they are.
He is the funniest boy... he follows me into the bathroom and then proceeds to make himself comfy in the sink!!
Back in 2002 and with my first new 2 Mp digital camera in hand, I took a trip to Warrumbungle National Park, a comfortable 5 hours drive north west from Sydney. The national park is based on the geographical Warrumbungle Mountain Range, sometimes shortened to the Warrumbungles,
The Warrumbungles are the remnants of a large heavily eroded shield volcano which was active from 13 to 17 million years ago. The volcano is estimated to have been 1,000 metres (3,300 ft) high and 50 kilometres (31 mi) wide. It formed as volcanic explosions occurred over millions of years. The remaining complex rocky formations are what is left after millions of years of erosion.
In this shot you see The Breadknife, a 90m high narrow rock wall formed when magma was forced through a crack in the earth's surface and intruded vertically into volcanic tuff and breccia. It cooled and set into a hard, narrow mass with numerous contraction joints. Erosion has left a long sliver of stone exposed which is hundreds of metres long and only several metres wide.
To the right of The Breadknife is Bluff Pyramid, a lave dome formed when lava bubbled to the surface and clogged up the source vent. The plug formed below the surface and blocked the vent. The resustant plug is prominent now as adjacent softer materials have eroded away.

Clog paths are local marked hiking trails. A clog path route goes as much as possible over mass paths, towpaths, tithing roads or peat quays that have often been present in the landscape for centuries. They have often lost their original function and are in danger of disappearing. A number of these paths have been set up for recreational use by landscape managers in collaboration with municipalities and landowners.

In the Netherlands we have clog trails These clog-marked walking trails go through private agricultural land, estates, historical heritage and nature reserves.
Bastad clogs I got on the net a few years ago. I love their look, unfortunately they got a funny shape when I wear them on my feet.

My patent light blue clogs (and my feet in them). I was wearing autumn striped socks (brown/grey/green/dark bkue) but unfortunately they don't show on this pic.
