Clockwork by Stephen West done in Miss Babs sock yarn (colorway Lake Michigan) and Dream in Color Starry (Bermuda Teal).
Built for my Meccano club,s challenge to build a bicycle model that can go along on two wheels without falling over. My model is powered by a tiny Meccano "magic" clockwork motor, making it the Worlds first clockwork motorcycle ! My patented stability system is very obvious.
My darling Elizabel (a dollzone star) arrived tonight! She is my first bjd, a gift from my two wonderful partners. I can't wait to paint her! I'm planning a dread wig and some petal garmets
When do you reset?
All the pieces matter. The smallest wheel in your head kickstarts imagination, another cog moves mountains, and there's a thingamajig that keeps it all together. It's like puffing into a NES cartridge (old school). Sometimes you need to take it all apart, breathe, and reset.
As I spend more of my life working, I realize no matter your title, how many zeros (or lack thereof) jiggle around in your paycheck, how many miles an hour you're running, how many things you are beasting, it always comes back to the basics: What are you made of? What makes you tick? What was your first passion and your first love-- and where is it now?
If you can't answer any of these, it's time.
2012. Eames Exhibit, A+D Museum. Los Angeles, CA.
This was one that I couldn't wait to show you guys once I had decided to start scanning drawing. (still working through old sketches at the moment).
It was all lovely and flat until my little girl decided to help by sticking a modelling tool into the smooth sugarpaste :(
