One of the only extremely British things left in Kowloon, the more Chinese half of Hong Kong. Neat clocktower.

This is the famed Cornell Clock Tower. Every day at noon the bell ringers play music from Bach to Mozart to Queen.

The gong. It's the thing you notice, especially your first morning when you are woke by the 5am bells going off and then every 15 minutes after!!! There was a church next to my hotel and a tram in front, both started at 5am. 7am they do a special extended bell ringing just to make sure you didn't miss your wake up call. I guess Swiss hotels don't have to make wake up calls unless it's before 5am.
