The Newbury Clock Tower - or Clock House - was first built in 1889 to celebrate Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee two years earlier; in 1929 it is replaced with the present Clock House. Each of the three sides, above the clock face, displays a different date. This side shows G. V. R. I. 1929, representing King-Emperor George V who reigned from 1910-1936.

This is the street I reside on in Switzerland. Not a lot going on usually here. No being loud after 10 PM, and make sure to say bonjur to the locals!

The Clocktower is a new Michelin star restaurant this year. This give me a good excuse to try it out during the Restaurant Week. The Restaurant Week menu very much like the normal day lunch menu. I decided to go with the foie gras and ox cheek pie and took the dessert option for an additional $8.

The light on this building in the West Village was interesting to photograph with my new digital camera. I like how eerie it looks.
