This rather evocative night shot of Morecambe Clock was taken while on the way to the pub. A couple of nights earlier, the opportunity was there but I just didn't have my camera. Well, I made up for that here and, although you can't see it, the lights were on green...meaning I'd have to take the shot while the road was clear of traffic.
It was just as well I took this when I did, because the following week, everywhere was covered in white!
Although digital clocktowers are certainly less aesthetically pleasing than their analog counterparts.

The Newbury Clock Tower - or Clock House - was first built in 1889 to celebrate Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee two years earlier. In 1929 it is replaced with the present Clock House. Each of the three sides, above the clock face, displays a different date. This side shows V.R.I. 1887, the year of Queen Victoria's golden jubilee.
