Another snowy day

Some beautiful early evening sunlight illuminating the Torre del Mangia clocktower on the main Piazza del Campo in central Siena.

As was the nature of our trip to Tuscany, we never had very long in any one place. Siena was no different as we arrived at about 5pm and spent about two hours there. Whilst it was a great time to wander round the city unfortunately the famous tower and most churches etc were already closed. I'd definitely like to go back some time and spend a few days there.

From Wikipedia : "The Torre del Mangia is a tower in Siena, in the Tuscany region of Italy. Built in 1338-1348, it is located in the Piazza del Campo, Siena's premier square, adjacent to the Palazzo Pubblico (Town Hall). When built it was one of the tallest secular towers in medieval Italy. At 102 m, it is second tallest after Cremona's Torrazzo (112 m (367 ft)), the Asinelli tower in Bologna at 97 m being third.

The tower was built to be exactly the same height as the Siena Cathedral as a sign that the church and the state had equal amounts of power. Literally meaning "Tower of the Eater", the name refers to its first bellringer, Giovanni di Balduccio, nicknamed Mangiaguadagni ("Eat-the-profits", that is "Profit eater") either for his spendthrift tendency, idleness or gluttony."

Another odd thing about the clocktower. Not sure if this one's deliberate.

Brighton, United Kingdom.

Clock tower at the former stables on the the grounds of Ballymascanlon Hotel.

While there was sunshine, there was also a cold wind so we decided to move away from the coast to somewhere more sheltered for our evening walk.

Bushmills Clocktower was erected by Francis Macnaghten in 1874.

Main St, Bushmills, County Antrim, Northern Ireland

Bushmills is a village on the north coast of County Antrim, Northern Ireland. Bushmills had a population of 1,247 in the 2021 Census. It is located 60 miles from Belfast, 11 miles from Ballycastle and 9 miles from Coleraine. The village owes its name to the River Bush and to a large watermill that was built there in the early 17th century. It is home to the Old Bushmills Distillery, which produces Irish whiskey, and is near the Giant's Causeway. [Wikipedia]

I think I'm drowning

Asphyxiated

I wanna break this spell

That you've created

You're something beautiful

A contradiction

I wanna play the game

I want the friction

You will be the death of me

You will be the death of me

Bury it

I won't let you bury it

I won't let you smother it

I won't let you murder it

Our time is running out

Our time is running out

You can't push it underground

You can't stop it screaming out

Brighton's town centre clock tower gets strung with these glorious festive lights at Christmas.

Playing with the X100T here again and this time with the in camera miniature effect. I'm almost at the point with this camera where it is going to replace £7000's worth of 5d MK3 and lenses for most of my shooting.....

The beautiful clocktower building in the old port of Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

It was a beautiful summer day with clear skies which increased contrast with the historical building.

Sunset with some odd clouds hanging around over Denver, Colorado.. I have about 10,000 photos on my hard drive and if you were to guess that at least 500 of them were of the sun rising or setting, you'd be guessing low :) Sunsets are cool, no?

No longer the WH Smith newsagent's and stationer, I think, but this charming clocktower is still on the roof, with a paper boy flourishing his newspaper. It actually says WH Smith & Son round the clock face.

16th Street Mall, Denver... Clocktower lit up blue for National Diabetes Week/Day/Month something or other... Bus going into warp drive while I was snapping the shot apparently...

This beautiful clocktower is located on a corner of the castle as you enter the parking lot of Dunrobin Castle.

A work that went wrong.

The colors and the elements (made apart) are a bit messed up, and I worked on this so much that I won`t fix them. It`s not that bad, but I dunno. I wanted to sub because it`s better than many shit out there.
