Habrá gente que no entienda el siguiente relato, y es que sólo los que tienen o tuvieron alguna vez el corazón de metal pueden atisbar levemente los designios de los Metal Gods.

Todo empezó el día en el que se me rompió la silla del ordenador. Me senté y se escuchó un estruendoso ¡CRASH!, señal inequívoca de que la silla se había partido en dos haciéndome dar con los huesos en el suelo. Me levanté enfurecido y empecé a maldecir en arameo y siete lenguas muertas más. No sé exactamente qué dije, pero todo lo que sucedió a continuación fue muy rápido y confuso: un denso humo negro empezó a emanar del subwoofer impregnándolo todo de un intenso olor a azufre, las bombillas estallaron dejando la habitación en penumbra y las primeras notas del WAR PIGS de Black Sabbath llegaron a mis oídos desde algún punto perdido en la lejanía. En el interior de la nube negra se iban materializando dos figuras humanas al tiempo que la música subía de volumen. Cerré los ojos con fuerza, muerto de miedo, y cuando los volví a abrir tenía frente a mí a DIMEBAG DARRELL y a CLIFF BURTON... ¡No daba crédito a lo que veían mis ojos!

La música cesó repentinamente, Dimebag me pegó en la cabeza con el mástil de su flamante guitarra Dean Dime-O-Flame y Cliff dijo con voz cavernosa:

- HI DUDE, NOW YOU CAN FLY!!

Dicho esto se esfumaron, dejándome en el suelo con un chichón en la frente y la rabadilla dolorida.

Durante un tiempo pensé que me había golpeado la cabeza al caer de la silla y deliré todo lo que acabo de contar, pero hace unos días empecé a notar un cosquilleo por los pies, como si quisieran despegarse del suelo. De momento sólo puedo levitar unos minutos aunque creo que si sigo practicando... ¡podría llegar a volar!

The reason I went to San Francisco in December, 2011, was because I won tickets to see Metallica at the Fillmore for their 30th Anniversary week of shows.

They closed out the nights with their own set of rarer or never before played songs and had a host of special guests each night.
