Alhambra is really an amazing place where one can appreciate ant once the beauty of at least three different civilisations and Era's. It's just like an cultural overload...

Probably the oldest and most iconic monument of Lisbon, the São Jorge Castle is a historic landmark of the Portuguese Nation that was the scene of many battles for the independence of Portugal.

Today this monument is a wonderful place to pass an afternoon and has fantastic views over Lisbon.

This is the bridge that leads over the River Eachaig from Benmore Gardens to the East Gatehouse and Visitor Centre. I've been both over this bridge (visiting the Gardens) and under it (whilst kayaking on the river) many times :)

Was heading out yesterday early to meet some buddies for fishing. We had arranged to meet at a motorway services & as i'm driving heading out to the services at Abington - the most amazing sun rise is happening. It was a technicolour, psychedelic mass of over the top shades of red & blue. One of the best and craziest I've ever witnessed.

As with all sunrises the sweet spot only lasted a few minutes & it was all but over by the time i could pull over at the services.

I managed to catch the aftermath from the car park of the services just before 8.00.

In the dime stores and bus stations

people talk of situations

read books, repeat quotations

draw conclusions on the wall ...

This is downtown Denver at twilight, taken from an upper deck at Coors Field, home of the Colorado Rockies baseball team.

Milky Way galaxy captured on a clear summer night over the Troodos Mountains which can be seen on the bottom part of the picture. Jupiter can also be seen on the left of the galaxy which appears like a big bright star!

This is the old building at the edge of Benmore Gardens. Currently it houses the administrative offices and the art gallery.

Autumn in Melbourne is always beautiful, with many wonderful deciduous trees full of colour like this one in its glorious golden orange autumn livery one sunny early Autumn day in May.

On the road to Puno: the lake (Laguna Lagunillas) is one of the highest lakes in the Andean plateaus, located in the department of Puno at a height of about 4,174 m. There are 4 small islands, its dimensions are 18.6 km long and 5.8 km wide and a maximum area of 66 km ² with a maximum depth of 47.6 m. It is a place for all the fauna of the region, especially the pink flamingo.

240x15s exposures were taken every second in order to eliminate gap between the exposures thus making the trails look choppy. Images aligned and edited in Lightroom and then exported in StarStax were they were blended together

Human silhouette in front of the vast majority our Milky Way Galaxy. Truly breath taking to even contemplate that we are nothing compared to the cosmos. Every human experience means almost nothing and lasts for almost no time relative to the age and magnitude of the universe. So sit back and enjoy one of the most spectacular shows it has to offer

The East Gatehouse was one of the old entrances to Benmore Gardens. Nowadays visitors are diverted through the shop and restaurant to pay their entrance fee, a price well worth paying for an afternoon spent wandering round the miles and miles of available tracks..

Autumn in Melbourne is always beautiful, with many wonderful deciduous trees full of colour throughout the city, like these maple leaves on a tree in the inner suburb of Fitzroy, which are quickly gaining the rich gold, orange and red tones of the season.

It seems that Melbourne is destined for an early and gloriously colourful autumnal blaze of colour this year, following a shorter and wetter than usual summer. I love this time of year for not only are Autumnal colours are starting to appear, but there are still plenty of beautiful blooms about.

Autumn in Melbourne is always beautiful, with many wonderful deciduous trees full of colour throughout the city, like these golden yellow hickory leaves on a tree in the inner suburb of South Yarra, which have transformed almost overnight into their autumnal tones of the season. Amidst them all were a few curled brown leaves, like the main focus of this photo where the hickory leaf has become a fantasy of pretty curlicues.

Early morning gloom.
