Another set of cards. Again, I used all Hero Art stamps, Hero Arts Cerulean chalk ink, K7Company paper, and cream cardstock.

This so simply looking card took me several days and wasted a lot of paper before I finally made it. Inlay die-cutting technique happened to be not so easy to make it clean.

On this card I created bokeh effect and made two-layered DYI chipboard.

I took this idea from banana republic store window. Thought it would be very difficult to die-cut pieces for the chipboards, but it happened to be pretty easy. The only thing - I think it would have a better look if I use white cardstock.

A shaker one. It is impossible to have a map die and not to make a shaker out of it. Technically it's very simple (it's a shaker, what else can I say here?). used sequins and distress glitter as the shaker fillers

This card is my take on colour blocking. I wanted a monochromatic feel to the card, so I used Victorian Velvet, Worn Lipstick, Festive Berries Distress Inks, as well as Pumice Stone for something a bit different. I started with some watercolour paper, and stamped the image and sentiment (Hero Arts) in white pigment ink and heat embossed with white EP. I then did the colour blocking technique that Jennifer McGuire taught in class, using the Distress Inks mentioned, as well as Perfect Pearls Mist. Once the piece was dry, I adhered the panel to some SU Pink Pirouette card stock, cut, scored and folded to a standard sized card. I finished the cards by adding 3 pearls along the bottom.

Named this card - "still enjoying feathers and sequins". Used the same cardstock as used for this card but it looks pretty different because of background manipulations I made. It looks a bit as velveteen, doesn't it? After white-embossing of the feather the background "needed" something more. So I inked it completely with distress inks and the wiped off inks "residue" from embossed image, not being very careful and wiping off some inks form the paper as well. It gave such uneven look of inked background. Then I splayed water in the air and "put" my paper in the cloud of water drops in the air. So I got only tiny spots on the paper which reacted with distress inks and gave such interesting effect (hope I explained clear).

Another one-layer one as well (if don't count these two hearts lol). Embossed with a die. Then when cut these two red hearts got a lot of heart die-cuts.

There is a new CAS challenge in a blog I design for. The one is to use a vellum in a card.

I use it very often recently, love this product. Had so much ideas for this challenge so ended up with three cards :)

The first two are NYC-ones. Finally used my PTI city scene stamps.

It's pretty tough to line them up perfectly. Needed several tries to nail it. Thanks God I love the process so this wasn't annoying :)

Space card I made in watercolor OCC, the technique showed by Jennifer Rzasa. The first moment I saw it in the class I was all "wow-wow-wow". Also.. it's kind of embarrassing as I'm not some teenager, but I've been watching Star Trek series for the last several months (I usually watch some show when create, or getting ready for work). Finished original one and new generation, now is on Voyager. So I HAD TO create this space card lol.

The whole background is made by watercolor. That was sprinkled with salt here and there while was still wet (salt created interesting effect). Then "stars" were added with white watercolor. And white embossed sentiment.

With the second card I went the opposite way. Put confetti craziness to the back and make the focal panel more settled. In addition to faux letterpress - just some die-cut sequins. Colored them in "watercolor style" with the same inks I used for the letterpress, so the sequins match other elements perfectly by color and style.

And the last one - the simplest one, with using like no supplies. Scored front panel, a couple of stars, splashes .. The card base color didn't fit the sentiment color - so I stamped it with background stamp to make better color match.
