My observations in a nursing home...
Who I am? Well, sometimes I don't know that myself. I'm just standing around - just like that. Sometimes I'm standing on a windowsill - sometimes on a sideboard. Every now and then someone comes by, takes me in the hand and says something. I can't understand most of it though. People are always saying: Speak louder, speak clearly, then we can understand.
I thought by myself: I better say nothing... then one does not go wrong.
Well, I'm standing here already for a while – don't know why... Oh, sometimes they have such cold hands, no, no, I don't like that!
My task? Oh, I have no idea. Well, I think the people passing by will enjoy... maybe my outfit or maybe they even like my face. Well, that's not that interesting either.
Anyway ... I'll stay here, let's see, what happens next.
Walked past this art store where kids get to paint and saw these little figures in the window. I don't know if they were made out of clay or playable material, but they were too cute to pass up so took a photo.
“Joy, sorrow, tears, lamentation, laughter – to all these music gives voice, but in such a way that we are transported from the world of unrest to a world of peace, and see reality in a new way, as if we were sitting by a mountain lake and contemplating hills and woods and clouds in the tranquil and fathomless water.”

Rock overhang near Tiger's Nest, Bhutan. One of the interesting things about Bhutan is the way ancestors are remembered. After someone dies, they are usually cremated. Not all of the body is consumed during cremation. The bits and pieces left over are gathered and pulverized, mixed with clay, and molded into these figurines, which are then painted and left in holy places in the mountains. Usually they are placed under rock overhangs to protect them from weathering.
