DC Historic Preservation Office working on content and pictures for a project called African American Civil Rights Tour.
Sharon Cook's first graders are studying Maps and Globes and Holidays Around the World. As part of their studies, they took a trip to the Southampton Historical Society on December 1, where an exhibit on "Holidays Around the World" is set up. The students researched how December holidays are celebrated in other countries and how a museum sets up displays. They came back with many ideas for their own upcoming holiday exhibit, “Some People Believe,” which will be held in their classroom on December 18.
