A vicious close up of the road shows the textured surface and the kerbstones. The latter were made from Evergreen plastic strips and are actually scribed at 8mm intervals to represent the individual stones, but sadly all this work is virtually invisible so perhaps they need a wash of black to highlight the detail. There are a few glue marks along the edge of the road and I'm undecided whether to paint over them as they do make it look a little dirty and I don't want it to be unrealistically clean. The Morris Minor is a Pocketbond 'Classix' model.

Pocketbond Classix 1/76 - EM76879 - Triumph Herald coupe - pale blue/white
This Triumph Herald coupe is another model of a car owned by my friend Chris, although the real one doesn't look quite like this as it is stored awaiting restoration and this is what it should become when finished. Built in 1961, AHP 668A (originally registered 1512 WD) is the oldest known surviving coupe with the 1200 engine. The model is one of many variants of Herald and Vitesse in the Pocketbond Classix range and comes complete with an opening bonnet, although it doesn't quite fit properly.
