Our kids are still home for the holidays, and this led to the family going out for brunch in Palo Alto today. It's a rare thing. We sat outside under the heat lamps, and I think my wife really enjoyed this coffee. #classicnegative
From a rainy evening last year of Dagmar cinema in Copenhagen. Those rainy evening photos works very well with the Classic Neg film simulation from Fujifilm, check out my blog post about Classic Neg here.

One of my photo projects during this covid-19 lockdown was to try out the Tiffen Black Pro-Mist 1/4 filter. It's great for night time street photography because it softens the bright highlights and gives it a foggy look. Check out my review of the Tiffen Black Pro Mist filter at my blog.

I used the Fujifilm film simulation "Classic Negative". Check my blog post for more about Classic Neg and how to get it on your old Fujifilm camera.

Out on my morning walk, I noticed the Halloween decor of black cats against a local fence. To offset the bad luck that comes with having the cats cross my path, I took some berry pics. Maybe this contrast will even things out in the universe. #classicnegative
Went for a walk with my friend Arne this afternoon. We found this great little shaft of light on Granville Island at the old Emily Carr building.

Bob’s Big Boy is a chain of family-type, mainstream restaurants in the Western U.S. In other parts of the nation, the chain has different names, such as Shoney’s. Regardless of location or name, these restaurants all have the character of Big Boy as a mascot or symbol. In downtown Palo Alto, Calif., this morning, I found Big Boy situated at the entrance of some funky coffee shops and museums. Somewhere, somehow, a Big Boy was taken/stolen/bought or whatever, and now he resides in a very un-Big Boy neighborhood. It’s a real disconnect, but I like it.
