1974. Yamaha FS1-E. LFM 776N. Purple. 50cc. Date of first registration December 2021.
Launched in 1973 the Yamaha FS1-E was every young motorcyclist’s path to freedom. It quickly got nicknamed Fizzie or Fizz by the British youth and it was for many their first foray into life on two wheels. The FS1-E was the UK model. Machines registered in the UK from 1 August 1977 were restricted to a maximum of 31 mph. Yamaha spotted a market and released their 60mph FS1-E with a set of pedals on to conform to the UK laws.
Originally the FS1-E was built as a five-speed transmission light motorcycle. It was originally called the FS1. Due to the regulations in Europe, the FS1-E was downtuned with a four-speed transmission. The FS1-E had the ability to be powered by pushbike type pedals since this was a legal requirement for registration as a moped in the United Kingdom and some other European countries at the time.
The ‘E’ suffix at the end of the models name simply represented which countries regulations the FS1 had been produced to meet. ‘E’ was for England.
Today you can pick up a FS1 E for somewhere between £2,500 - £5,000 in the UK.

2009. Vindicator F4. X739 GBC. Maroon. 2967cc. Petrol.
The F4 has been a 'Dream Achievers' Project. A unique design inspired by the F4 Phantom jet. You are able to commission one, implement any other unique ideas for a design of your own. This model has had an engine upgrade (a new 3ltr 24v Duratec), air conditioning added and canopy operation sorted (compressed air).
The Vindicator F4 has now been treated to an engine upgrade. The F4 is a car in the style of an F4 Phantom jet fighter. It's an amazing car, nothing else like on the road today.

Hooligan Bike of the Early 1980s. It was released in 1980, an extension of the earlier RD250 and it was very quickly deemed a two-stroke icon; it is highly collectable today. It was the ultimate amateur racers motorcycle, it spawned many local legends and well-known professional racing heroes. 1980. Pontiac Transam Firebird (Second Generation). HVN 642V. Black. 5700cc. Petrol. Date of first registration with DVLA November 2021.
Class. Muscle Car
In 1980, ever-increasing emissions restrictions led Pontiac to drop all of its large-displacement engines.[48] 1980 therefore saw the biggest engine changes for the Trans Am. The 301, offered in 1979 as a credit option, was now the standard engine. No manual transmission was available for the Firebird in 1980, all received the 3-speed automatic Turbo Hydramatic 350. Dealer order information listed a 3-speed manual available with the Buick V6 in the base model Firebird, however, none were ordered or built.

A very usable classic motorcycle dating from 1973. Tucked away in the corner of Billy's shed, seeing bikes like this classified as classics makes you feel really old.
Last night I stopped by the Pony Corral Cruise Nite here in Winnipeg. I had the pleasure to meet the owner of this terrific looking machine, Charlie who is in town on business for a few weeks.
See you next week at Cruise Nite Charlie!!
Seen this Royal Enfield Classic 350 while Ironbridge.

RDs were produced from 1972 onward, initially with rather old-fashioned utilitarian styling which was updated around 1976/77 to the classic slab sided beauties with speed block graphics that typified the look of the era.
RD stood for Race Developed, which was accurate. Yamaha had a long racing history feeding their development and RDs were raced in all sorts of different categories. They were lightweight and when you hit the powerband they took off like a scalded cat.

1955. BSA C10L. JFO 588. Green. 2550cc. Petrol. Date of first registration March 1979
BSA Motorcycles Ltd. Birmingham. Once dismissed as ‘grey porridge’ and often heaved onto the scrap man’s wagon, this BSA C10L – so representative of an era – is now a rarity.
Machines like the C10L are often overlooked in the scramble for more heavyweight machines. The C10L was the last in a long and proud line of side-valve 250cc models, which did much to cement BSA’s place as the world’s largest motorcycle manufacturer. The rock upon which much of their empire was built was the humble quarter-litre commuter. L standing for lightened. The C10L was clearly aimed at budget motorcyclists, presumably those who didn’t want a two-stroke. But, as evidenced by this example, it was still very much a well-built motorcycle. The C10L was finally deleted from the range for the 1957 season.
BSA, standing for Birmingham Small Arms Company Ltd, BSA was founded in 1861, for the production of firearms. (Gun Quarter, Birmingham).

2016. Harley Davidson Iron Sportster 883. CV16 YHX. Grey. 883cc. Petrol.
Introduced in 2009, the Harley Davidson Iron Sportster 883, has assumed the mantle of being Harley's cheapest, entry-level bike. Powered by the 883cc Evolution V-twin and inspired by garage-built bobbers, the Iron 883 is intentionally raw and rough around the edges, with clipped fenders, blacked-out powertrain and exhaust, drag-style handlebars and a solo tuck-and-roll seat cover. Although the Iron 883 might not be the most ideal beginner bike, it is one of the best to choose if you are a Harley fan. The Iron 883 is one of the best looking Harley’s by many. It has a beastly look that is classic at the same time as it is modern.
